June 2018: South Pointe Chevrolet is synonymous with strong core values. Integrity, transparency, professionalism and teamwork come standard with each transaction whether purchasing a vehicle or having one serviced or repaired.
“These aren’t just words, “explains Dustin Hightower, General Manager of South Pointe Chevrolet, “It’s really a lifestyle.” As a part of a larger cooperative, or network, of independent dealerships, South Pointe is privy to a huge inventory of vehicles, both new and used. “We are the dealership that gives you more—more choices for Chevy vehicles, thus greater access to a larger selection,” states Hightower. Customers may shop our online inventory and get pre-approval for financing online. The inventory is quality; whether it is new or used, in that the pre-owned vehicles are subject to a rigorous inspection prior, to being labeled as CPO (certified pre-owned).
The South Pointe sales team are consistent with its core values. Each salesperson is well-trained and knowledgeable about the products being offered to their customers. Moreover, the shopping experience is low-pressure and calm. Customers are greeted, and the sales team is helpful and responsive to needs, but never pushy; always helping you with information needed to make your best buying decision.
South Pointe continues to turn one-time transactions into long-term relationships. The service department is in part the reason for returning customers. They are concerned with the customer’s needs, and strive to find a way to help them.Their mantra is, “What is the next right thing? Let’s do that.” The service staff goes above and beyond to find solutions for every situation, even offering financing options for repairs if a warranty is not available. To further their quest for satisfied customers, every initial diagnostic test is free of charge.
One key quality unique to South Pointe is the hands-on nature of its management.
Accommodation of the customer goes beyond finding solutions for repairs and finding options to make them affordable. Drop off of a vehicle to the service department is available 24 hours per day, and a courtesy pick-up is also available. In fact, South Pointe, uniquely tries to make each service transaction convenient via its option for online scheduling. This allows a customer to schedule appointments for service or repair wherever they are and at any time of day, reducing a customer’s need to work around set office hours. To ensure convenience for their customers, status updates are accessible online. Customers may check the stages of progress on their own time from theeir computer or phone. When a repair or service visit is complete the vehicle undergoes a complimentary car wash, weather permitting.
The same commitment to values that extend to the customer can also be found internally at South Pointe which translates into loyal and long-standing employees. Likewise, South Pointe enjoys giving back to the community. “As a prior U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran,“ offers Hightower. “ I appreciate and enjoy honoring commitment and good character.” From military service and first responders to teachers, South Pointe participates in the monthly Hometown Heroes program, publicly recognizing those that go above and beyond to serve the community during various events such as the University of Tulsa or Tulsa Drillers games.
Each month the dealership hosts a “Customer Appreciation Day.” They host a cookout with lots of food and refreshments and a $9.95 oil change special. This is free to the public. Future dates are posted on Facebook.
For many years South Pointe Chevrolet has been a generous community partner. Their ongoing efforts to help their customers, neighbors, friends and strangers has been a cornerstone for the South Pointe brand.
