Time for Tea-Off and Heart of BA

What better way to kick off the holiday season than by bringing your family to the Broken Arrow Main Street Merchants Association’s Holiday Tea-Off on Thursday, November 12 and the Heart of Broken Arrow Arts & Crafts Show on Saturday, November 14. The Tea-Off will be from 6 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Broken Arrow. The Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Broken Arrow Community Center on Main Street.
The Holiday Tea-Off presents an opportunity to visit the many outstanding shops lining Broken Arrow’s Main Street. Area residents may register for cash vouchers at participating merchants beginning Monday, November 2, through about 8:30 the evening of the Tea-Off. At 8:45 p.m. sharp on November 12, winning vouchers will be drawn on the stage at Dallas and Main. Monies totaling $2,000, with a $500 grand prize voucher redeemable with at any participating Main Street merchant. No purchase is necessary to register. You must be 18 years or older to enter and must be present to win the full face value of any cash voucher. If you are not present, you will receive a voucher for half the original value. Downtown merchants will have new fall and holiday items, and several will host in-store drawings and provide light refreshments.
Main Street will be closed from Dallas to Broadway to all but foot traffic on Tea-Off evening. A performance stage will be located at Dallas and Main, and horse-drawn carriage rides will be available at $4 per person.  
Those strolling Main Street during the Tea-Off could likely run into Santa, giving kids the opportunity to drop a hint or two. The evening is packed with tons of wholesome family entertainment.
The Heart of Broken Arrow Arts & Crafts Show hosts many new and returning vendors providing great gift ideas. You’ll find framed original art, wood carvings, hanger safes, blankets and rugs, baby and pet items, sunglasses, crochet scarves, jewelry, character hats for young and old, quilted items, lots of items for kids, and much more. Call craft show chair Laurann Farris at (918) 251-1591for booth availability. “We’re always looking for different and unique craft products,” she said.
