Tulsa Spotlight Theater: The Drunkard
Tulsa Spotlight Theater presents a weekly performance of "The Drunkard," an old-fashioned melodrama heavy on audience reactions. "The Drunkard" is an adaptation of "Ten Nights in a Barroom" which was written in the 1840s as a preachy piece meant to discourage the use of alcohol, but is now performed as a raucous comedy. "The Drunkard" has the distinction of being the longest continually performed play in North America having run since November 14, 1953. Find your seat and enjoy interacting with the performers as you boo, hiss, cheer, sing, and laugh along. You can even rent tomatoes to throw at the villain during one part of the performance, but please don't bring your own tomatoes!

Rose District Farmers Market
Beginning April 4th-October 31st, every Saturday from 8AM-noon. The mid-week market is every Tuesday, April 7th-October 27th, from 4-8PM. We also have a Holiday market on Tuesdays in November-December 22nd, 4-8PM. We are open rain or shine and only close for extreme or dangerous weather conditions. The market initially started with only 10 vegetable vendors. Over the years, it has grown to a two-day market with more than 50 unique vendors offering locally grown and hand-crafted products. The market's location is ideal due to the two large, covered pavilions with a state-of-the-art water feature in front of the plaza. Live music and a number of special events highlight the market, including cooking and gardening demonstrations, live radio broadcasts, a petting zoo, a kid's craft corner, and more.

Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo
The Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo, a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo hosted each year in Vinita, will feature all of the exciting rodeo events fans have come to expect. Grab a seat at this year's rodeo and enjoy the eight main events – barrel racing, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, steer roping, calf roping, bull riding and team roping. Created in 1935 in honor of the memory of Will Rogers, the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo has become one of the biggest and best rodeos in the region, attracting top cowboy champions from across the nation and offering thousands of dollars in prize money.

Wreath Laying & Flyover

Muskogee Hot Air Balloon Festival
Hot air balloons will fill the sky over Muskogee’s Hatbox Event Park this August during the Muskogee Hot Air Balloon Festival. This magical event will feature tethered balloon rides, balloon glows after dark and hot air balloon rides as contestants compete for the Oklahoma Hot Air Balloon Championship Governor’s Trophy. Families from all around are invited to experience two days of entertainment, food, music and unforgettable balloon displays during this exciting community event
Please note: Hot air balloon activities will be dependent on weather conditions deemed safe for pilots, their crews, passengers and spectators following Federal Aviation Administration regulations.

Broken Arrow Community Playhouse presents: Sarah, Plain and Tall
For an uplifting story about family, visit the Broken Arrow Community Playhouse this August to see their production of “Sarah, Plain and Tall.” Adapted by Joseph Robinette from Patricia MacLachlan’s Newbery Medal-winning novel, this classic tale comes alive in a poignant, family-friendly production that everyone will enjoy. Set in the early 1900s, “Sarah, Plain and Tall” follows a widowed Midwestern farmer left to raise his two young children. Desperate for a mother's touch in their home, he places an advertisement in the newspaper for a wife. Narrated through flashbacks, the play explores the bittersweet, often humorous, and deeply touching time when a fragile new family learns to heal, trust and love again. Shepherd’s Cross invites fiber enthusiasts, crafters, and families alike to its annual Summer Yarn Event this August. Whether you are looking to learn a new hobby, stock up on premium fiber and yarn for the upcoming fall season or simply enjoy a peaceful day on an authentic working farm, the event offers something for everyone. The Summer Yarn Event will be open 8:30am – 5:30pm on August 21–22 and August 25–29, 2026. Black Gold Days
Black Gold Days in Glenpool celebrates the city's rich oil history with family-oriented activities and fun. Join the citizens of Glenpool as they honor the history of the local Glenn Pool oil field, which created numerous oil and oil-related companies in the area and helped the city prosper after its discovery in 1905. Black Gold Days features a carnival, numerous food vendors, free entertainment and a fireworks display.
Known for its lineup of live music performers, this festival will feature everything from bluegrass and gospel, to rock and country. Fill up at the Lion's Club pancake breakfast Saturday morning. Kids will enjoy a frog jump, turtle races, a horseshoe tournament and a variety of other children's activities. Watch the festive parade on Saturday, then browse through endless craft and vendor booths situated throughout the festival grounds. Join us for a screening of In MacArthur Park (1976). The film follows the story of a Mojave man who leaves the reservation for Los Angeles in a desperate attempt to support his family. After an encounter leads to an unintended tragedy, he is forced to navigate the weight of his actions while evading an eyewitness and the police.
