The holidays are finally here! To celebrate, we want to share this list of the most cheerful happenings around town so you can find the perfect events for your family to enjoy. Get ready for beautiful lights, hot cocoa and crafts of all kinds. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, so don’t forget your coat and head out to as many of these great events as you can.

Christmas Open House

Enjoy tea with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at Memory Lane Tea Room.

Festival of Lights Christmas Parade
Okmulgee
12/7
Get into the holiday spirit at Okmulgee’s annual Festival of Lights Parade, one of the state’s oldest nighttime parades with more than a million lights. The parade will travel east on 6th Street, so get there early and secure a spot along the sidelines. Watch as area businesses and organizations compete to win Best Float in a selected theme.

December 8
“The Regifters”
Broken Arrow
12/8-12/17. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse presents “The Regifters.” When a couple re-gifts a not-so-great Christmas present, then finds out it’s worth a fortune, they will stop at nothing to get it back. But they’re not the only ones who rewrapped it.

Living Nativity Pecan and Black Walnut Festival
Claremore
12/7-12/9 and 12/14-16 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Open the door, and step back in time to the first Holy Christmas. Live character portrayals, live animals, farm fresh pecans, cracking and nutty treats. Located at Sheperd’s Cross.

A Christmas Carol

Junior League of Tulsa’s annual holiday shopping experience at the UMAC at 68th and Mingo. 3-day pass is $5, with teachers and military free on Sunday.

Jingle Bell Run

The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability.

Claremore’s “Old Fashioned Christmas” Parade
Claremore
12/9 5:30 p.m.
Begins at Claremore Expo Center and snakes down Will Rogers BLVD with more than 200 entries, plenty of decorated floats, and an appearance form Santa.

Owasso Christmas Parade
Owasso
12/9 at 9 a.m.
Begins at Smith Farm Marketplace. This year’s theme is “The Polar Express.”

Breakfast with Santa & Christmas Parade
Catoosa
12/9 at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Parade starts at 2 p.m.
Enjoy breakfast with the jolly old elf himself at Catoosa Public Library. Parade starts at Catoosa High School.

December 10

Breakfast with Santa
Tulsa
12/10 9-10:30 a.m.; 11-12:30 p.m.
Breakfast with Santa brings a taste of the North Pole to Tulsa. With a delicious breakfast, visits with Santa and family photo options with Santa, a great family event.

Murrell Home Christmas Open House
Park Hill
12/10 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Visitors are invited to tour the 1845 George M. Murrell mansion and learn about Christmas customs from the mid-Victorian period.

Christmas with the Annie Moses Band
Broken Arrow
12/10 at 7:30 p.m.
Experience the acclaimed classical crossover ensemble performing arrangments of holiday favorites at the Broken Arrow PAC.

Handel’s Messiah
Tulsa
12/10 at 3 p.m.
A rare performance of Handel’s Messiah done at baroque pitch with a baroque orchestra, $20 donation. Saint John’s Episcopal Church.

Old-Fashioned Country Christmas

This annual event features dinner, a live nativity, entertainment, crafts for the kids, vendors, live music, the lighting of the community Christmas Tree, and of course, pictures with Santa! Free.

Christmas at the Coleman featuring Shoji Tabuchi

12/14 at 7 p.m.
Shoji will perform his holiday show “The Wonders of Christmas.”

December 15

YPB Christmas Crawl
Tulsa
12/15 at 6 p.m.
ALL proceeds go to charity. The crawl will start at Hilton Garden Inn at 7:00 PM! Dress up and bring lots of cash because there are awards for costumes and raffles for great prizes.

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” at the Coleman
Miami
12/15 at 7 p.m.
The Coleman presents the contemporary holiday movie classic. Come dressed as Cousin Eddie and get a free box of popcorn. Best costume of the night gets two free tickets to an upcoming event.

A Big Band Christmas
