The Claremore Home & Garden Show Returns with even more exhibits, seminars and family activities.  Returns with even more exhibits, seminars and family activities.

Spring is in bloom.  It’s time to load the kids in the backseat and head to the Claremore Home & Garden Show. The annual show is produced by Visit Claremore and Rogers County Builders Association, Roger’s County greatest recourse for the home building and remodeling industry for 46 years. The event will be held March 24-26 at Roger’s County’s largest event venue, Claremore Expo Center, featuring 90,000 square feet of wall-to-wall home ideas, products, and knowledgeable, local experts.  A wide variety of exhibitors will be available in areas such as flooring, roofing, home construction, home mortgages, storm shelters, gardening and more.

Partnering with the show to enhance guests’ gardening knowledge, the Master Gardeners will offer several seminars on a variety of topics. Topics include: “Kitchen Herb Gardens; Colorful Container Gardening; and Starting a Vegetable Garden”. All popular topics and seminar schedules can be found online.

“Our partnership with the Rogers County Master Gardeners is great for the show, and more importantly great for show goers,” said Tanya Andrews, director of Visit Claremore. “Their expertise and knowledge extends well past flowers, and they serve as such an enormous resource for all of Rogers County.”

New this year, the Master Gardeners will host their plant sale during the show. Set in the indoor arena, they will offer fan favorite flowers, plants and shrubs for sale.

Allan Storjohann of The KRMG Gardening Show will be on hand Saturday, March 25 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Allan will be in the Master Gardner’s booth and ready to answer any questions on gardening, offer tips and assist the public on anything garden related.

News on 6 Storm Trackers, Von Caster & Darren Stephens, will be available during the show and offer a few “wild weather shows” on Saturday; you can find them in Survivor Shelter’s booth. Just in time for spring, Survivor Shelter will give away another free storm shelter. The drawing will be Saturday around 5 p.m. and during the live remote by 99.5 Radio personality Jim Jefferies, aka the “Old Hoot Owl”. The winner must be present to win.

Claremore Animal Shelter and One by One Rescue will have furry friends for adoption on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Plenty of furry friends will be in the indoor arena so be sure to stop by and show them some love.

The Kidz Zone, sponsored by GRDA, will have a variety of activities throughout the weekend. OSU Extension-Stillwater will bring their Insect Petting Zoo on Saturday, from noon - 5 p.m. There will also be craft projects like “plant your own flowers” and “build a birdhouse” for the kids to enjoy. GRDA will share information on “Life Jackets Save Lives-Wear It”, an on-going effort to reduce drowning incidents.

The Claremore Home & Garden Show is March 24-26 at the Claremore Expo Center. Admission is free and show hours are Friday, noon – 6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.- 7 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. -5 p.m.
