The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the annual Leading Ladies Gala Wednesday, Oct. 6, on the campus of Rogers State University. Presented by Hillcrest Hospital Claremore, this year’s theme is Heart Health. Guest speakers will entertain the audience with both professional and personal advice.

The evening event aims to honor 10 local women in various categories: Community Supporter, Behind the Scenes, Non-Profit, Health, Manufacturing and Business; this year, Education and Government have been added to the list. Additionally, the Rising Star category honors a deserving woman 25 years or younger. There is also an overall award for Leading Lady of the Year, for that special woman who goes above and beyond or fits into multiple categories. Many of the categories are self-explanatory, but Community Supporter acknowledges the lady who does all the things for all the organizations, and Behind the Scenes is for that gal who works hard for little recognition.

Beginning at 6 p.m. in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Ballroom, the Leading Ladies Gala will feature a delicious dinner and drinks, including the signature Queen of Hearts cocktail, as well as guest speakers, a live dessert auction with a variety of yummy treats from local bakeries, fabulous Ladies Loot giveaways, and the Leading Ladies Awards ceremony. The committee is working to come up with even more unique touches to make the gala better than ever. Red carpet entrance, anyone?

“The Leading Ladies Gala is one of my favorite events,” said Ashley May, Director of Communications for the Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce. “As a former honoree, I remember what it was like to enjoy a special night being celebrated as a Leading Lady, and it’s fun to be on the planning side of things now. We truly want to show our winners how valuable they are to our community.”

It’s important to note that the 2021 Leading Ladies Gala will be held at a new location, at the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Ballroom at Rogers State University.

In addition to presenting sponsor Hillcrest Hospital Claremore, the Chamber would like to acknowledge the Leading Ladies Awards sponsors: 5 Star Group Ronica Warden, 6:19 Nutrition, Cherokee Nation, CIEDA, Northeast Tech, RCB Bank, Red Crown Credit Union, Robson Properties, TTCU and Wallace for Life. Ladies Loot sponsors thus far are Crooked Roots, The District on Main, WildFlour Baking Co., Ethos Yoga, Elizabeth Jean Salon, and High Life Limos.
