(L to R): Lisa Rogers, Tanya Andrews, Karen Ogle, Allison Delk and Paul Pixley invite you to attend the revamped Claremore Home & Garden Show, April 15-17.
Spring has arrived, and homeowners know what that means – it’s time to spruce up the house and yard. Attendees can learn about home improvement, gardening and a whole lot more at the Claremore Home & Garden Show, April 15-17 at the Claremore Expo Center.
Formerly known as the Rogers County Home & Garden and Farm & Ranch Show, the event has been given a facelift this year with a new name and new website. In past years the show charged an admission fee; this year entrance is free to the public all three days.
The show will feature a variety of local vendors sharing information, products and services on topics including home building, home improvement, windows and window replacement, heating and air, bug extermination, handyman services, satellite dishes, roofing, commercial and residential remodeling, insurance and more.
Be sure to check out the Rogers County Master Gardeners’ booth, which will feature an interactive monarch butterfly exhibit, plants on display, as well as question and answer sessions with the Master Gardeners. Also, stop by J&T Service Company’s booth to enter into a drawing to win a storm shelter. The storm shelter will be on display as the public enters the Expo Center, and the drawing will be held Sunday afternoon.
Two stages will host informational seminars by local experts on a variety of topical subjects, including flood insurance, earthquake insurance, buying a storm shelter and reverse mortgages. “Whether or not they should choose a reverse mortgage is a question many seniors currently face. Jim Blythe with BOK Mortgage will host seminars throughout the weekend explaining the pros and cons of reverse mortgages,” says Tanya Andrews, Director of Claremore Expo & Tourism Development. “Additional seminars will include kitchen remodeling, how to hire the right contractor for your home projects, redoing bathrooms on a budget, antique restoration and appraisals, and gardening topics such as kitchen herb gardens.”
Allen Storjohann, who hosts the KRMG Gardening Show on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be on hand to answer your gardening questions from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
The children’s area will be sponsored by Destiny Life Church and will feature fun activities for the kiddos, including bouncy house inflatables. “In the past, there has been a fee for jumping on the inflatables, but this year they will be free for children to play on,” adds Tanya.

DIY Sponsors are Pixley Lumber, RCB Bank, and Stillwater Milling Company. Hospitality Sponsors are Gateway Mortgage and Melton Sales.
