Fixed Operations Manager Joe Gibson and General Manager Billy Caperton invite you to visit the new David Stanley’s Riverside Chevrolet at I-44 and the Arkansas River.

“We’re bringing back Riverside Chevrolet,” said Billy Caperton of David Stanley’s Riverside Chevrolet. “This dealership has gone through multiple changes in personnel and owners over the past 10 years, and we’re focused on making David Stanley’s Riverside Chevrolet greater than it’s ever been.”
The new dealership officially became David Stanley’s Riverside Chevrolet on October 21. Billy Caperton is the store’s general manager and partner, and Joe Gibson is the fixed operations manager. Both men grew up in Tulsa and collectively have over 56 years in the automotive industry.
The David Stanley name has a strong presence in the Oklahoma automotive market. Mr. Stanley grew up in Nowata on his family’s farm. After graduating, he married Brenda, his high school sweetheart, and found employment with Purina Dog Chow in Edmond. When Brenda wrecked their car, David decided the only way he could get another was to go to work for a car dealership in Oklahoma City as a salesman. He did his job well and climbed the organization’s ladder to become general manager.
In 1985, Mr. Stanley was offered a position with Chevrolet in OKC and seven years later bought his first dealership in Moore, Oklahoma, which he still owns. He also owns five other dealerships in the Oklahoma City area, plus Riverside Chevrolet in Tulsa. “The David Stanley Auto Group is the number one volume dealer in Oklahoma,” said Caperton.
Mr. Stanley and his team are committed to making Riverside Chevrolet a success. When he visited our area to start building the team, two names kept popping up – Billy Caperton and Joe Gibson. Stanley knew for Riverside to be successful, it had to be run by Tulsans. He hired Billy and Joe, who are both “Tulsa boys,” to get the ball rolling.
The pair have hired the best team in their field to staff Riverside. “Customer service isn’t just a department with us,” said Caperton. “Customer satisfaction is the very foundation upon which the success of Riverside is built, ensuring every person’s experience will be a pleasant one.”
Riverside Chevrolet employees are friendly and helpful. Some, who were there before the new ownership and name change, were asked how they liked working at Riverside. They summed up their feelings with the following comments:
“I’d do anything for Joe Gibson. He’s the greatest guy I have ever worked for.”
“It’s absolutely wonderful. There’s been such an attitude change and business has improved. Our new management is incredible.”
“The place has a different atmosphere now, and I want to be a contributor to our success.”
“The group chosen to manage Riverside has brought in a different atmosphere. It’s completely different and the tension is gone.”
“When I thanked Billy for the opportunity to work here, he said that it takes our entire team to make the business successful. I like that attitude.”
The David Stanley Riverside Chevrolet team looks forward to meeting you.
