Carolyn Berg, M.D., is a highly-specialized hand surgeon and is a member of the Medical Staff at UBER Healthcare.  She treats disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow both surgically and non-surgically.

Carolyn M. Berg, M.D., is a highly-specialized hand surgeon who performs procedures to treat everything from fingertips to elbow.  She treats a broad range of problems that may result from cuts, burns, a crushing injury or disease processes.

"I examine, treat and study the hand plus routinely perform procedures that treat traumatic injuries, congenital differences, repetitive stress injuries, degenerative arthritis and similar disorders that affect the normal anatomical structure of the hand,” said Dr. Berg. “We're going to find the best way to return you to normal functioning as quickly as possible."

Dr. Berg specializes in the repair and reconstruction of skin, bone/joints, nerve, muscles/tendons and blood vessels.  She treats many patients with Workers' Comp Insurance.

Not every visit to the hand specialist is going to result in surgery.  Uber Healthcare frequently recommends a non-surgical treatment option as the best solution.

"It's very important if you sustain a serious hand injury," says Dr. Berg, "that you do not put off seeing a specialist.  The longer you wait, the more rapidly your treatment options decrease."  If you experience pain in your fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, or have other extremity-related concerns, you would be well advised to consult a hand specialist.

Dr. Berg received additional training in her field from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, to become a member of the American Society of Surgery of the Hand, she completed a Hand fellowship and has a certificate of added qualifications in hand surgery.

Dr. Berg's education and training includes her Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University; Doctor of Medicine, residency in general surgery, and fellowship in hand surgery from Baylor College of Medicine where she also received two Teaching Excellence Awards by residents.  Dr. Berg was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University Health Science Center and was employed in south Texas.  She established her practice with Uber Healthcare two years ago.

Staff doctors of Uber Healthcare include: Gregory Wilson, DO, (Founder of UBER Healthcare) specializing in Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery and Stem Cell Therapy; Clint J. Basener, DO, Orthopedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine; Andronica Handie, DPM, MS, Foot & Ankle Surgeon; Keith Simmons, DO, Neurologist (EMG studies only); and Breanna Brumley, PAC.  UberHealthcare also provides Pain Management services.
