John E. Koller and store mascot Baxter greet customers with smiles at their Owasso jewelry store.
December 2015: Thanksgiving is history, except for the leftovers and the few extra pounds. Now, it’s time to start thinking about a unique and exquisite gift for that special person in your life.
The most dynamite Christmas gifts often come in the smallest packages, and that’s why you’ll want to make a trip to John E. Koller Jewelry Designs and Repair in Owasso. They have a new and more spacious location, less than a mile north of their old site, which they moved from in October. The new store is in Tyann Plaza, 9455 N. Owasso Expressway, Suite L, where you can find everything from the latest fashion jewelry to classic, vintage-inspired pieces. Koller, who has been in the jewelry industry for about 30 years, and his best buddy, Baxter (a long-haired dachshund) believe that a gift of jewelry is sure to wow family and friends.
It’s during those last two weeks before Christmas Day that the store experiences a heavy presence of men wanting something special for their wives, girlfriends, and of course we can’t forget daughters.
Diamonds and pearls are always at the top of that list, with prices starting at $150. Koller, who began his career in his native state of New Jersey, and received awards from the Oklahoma Jewelers Association for his outstanding creations in 2005 and 2006, also sees a strong presence of young lovers who have just got engaged and want to formalize the commitment with engagement rings.
Women who want something memorable for the men in their lives can choose one of Koller’s signature line watches that can come with a customized dial face. “For those who are watching their budgets closely, you can get a very nice watch for $120,” Koller notes.
If you want to make a statement to that special person, you can say it in gold or some other precious metal in a custom-designed bracelet, earrings or necklace, he adds. Koller’s retail store carries a variety of rings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants, and he specializes in custom one-of-a-kind pieces.
“Please remember that we can make anything you want. An original creation begins with a wax carving, progresses to an investment stage, and finally to the casting of the piece.” If you do want something that is an original, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry, he urges you to be sure and come in as early as possible.
“The new store location provides twice as much space and that means more work stations, enabling our employees to better serve you – our customers. We are here to serve and assist you in providing the best gift possible,” Koller says. John E. Koller Jewelry also provides all types of repairs and restoration.
Extended holiday hours began on December 1, open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays and until 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Doors open at 10 a.m. with a special Sunday opening scheduled for December 20, the last Sunday prior to Christmas on Saturday, December 25.
