Mary Lou Havener, chairperson for SpringFest, and Pat Hobbs, bookkeeper for Tulsa Garden Center, welcome everyone to the SpringFest Garden Market and Festival.

Is this the year, everyone envies your garden? Whatever your skill level, SpringFest Garden Market and Festival is a must visit for your 2016 garden, and admission is free. Tulsa Garden Center can help you create a great garden that will be the envy of your neighbors and friends. Join us at 2435 S. Peoria Ave. on April 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the annual SpringFest Garden Market and Festival, where you will find everything needed to create a beautiful garden. There will be a large variety of plants, gardening information, garden art, unique art and craft vendors, a kid’s zone with fun activities, and food and fun for the whole family.
While enjoying the beauty of Woodward Park and the Tulsa Garden Mansion, you will have the opportunity to shop for special garden plants, garden décor and all things garden related. Area plant nurseries will offer the newest and best plant selections for 2016. The popular Linnaeus Teaching Garden pass-along plant tent will be full of plants for sale from the gardens of Linnaeus gardeners and other friends of the Tulsa Garden Center. Take the opportunity to ask any gardening questions you might have of these professional nursery men and women, the Linnaeus Gardeners and the Tulsa Master Gardeners.
Vendors outside and inside the historic Tulsa Garden Center home will offer exceptional craft items and fine art for you, your home and garden. Also, inside the mansion you will find a bird house decorating contest/auction and food concessions.
Gardening affiliates of the Tulsa Garden Center expected to participate are Green Country Water Garden Society, Linnaeus Gardeners, Northeastern Oklahoma Beekeepers Association, Tulsa Area Daylily Society, Tulsa Garden Club, Tulsa Herb Society, Tulsa Rose Society, Tulsa Master Gardeners, Oklahoma Sustainable Garden and Butterfly and Pollinator Association and Up With Trees. Plant vendors are Colebrook Nursery, Duck Creek Farms, MB Gardens, McClain’s, Roses Inc. Green Country, Steph’s Gardens, Timber Ridge Farms and Utopia Gardens.
Confirmed Arts and Crafts vendors are: Debbie Gilcrease, Donna Prigmore, A-Mark on the World, All About Metal, Amber & Christmas Ornaments, Archana Gupta-Silversmith, Artistry & Old Lace, Basket Sensations, Birdhouses by Mark, Blank Beads, Buzz Art, Creations by Tina, J & B Jewelry, Kellys Soaps, Mud & Metal, Okie Dirt, Oklahoma Playsets, Painted Note Cards, Pat’s Pins & Wood Things, Renewal by Andersen, Roark Acres Honey Farms, Scentables Candles, Stephanie’s Selections, Tadpole Creek Creations, The Patchouli Parlour, The Wood Potter, Tom’s Outdoor Living, Tower Garden by Juice Plus, Up With Trees, Usborne Books and More, Whispering Vines Winery, Young Living Essential Oils and Zedel International. Other exhibitors are NeW Solutions, The Metropolitan Environmental Trust, The Tulsa World, Tulsa SPCA, and the Tulsa City/County Library Reading Bus.
Bring the whole family and spend a fun-filled day at this spring event. The children’s area will offer multiple entertaining and educational activities, including face painting, balloons, the Adopt-A-Pet van from SPCA, the Reading Van from Tulsa City/County Library and age-appropriate gardening activities.  
After shopping, guests can visit the beautiful Linnaeus Teaching Garden, a state-of-the-art demonstration garden in Woodward Park, which offers an array of ideas for the home gardener. Be forewarned, a visit to the Linnaeus Teaching Garden will trigger another shopping spree.
Mark your calendar now to attend this gardening extravaganza on April 8th and 9th. Proceeds from SpringFest Garden Market and Festival benefit the Tulsa Garden Center educational programs.
