More Than Just Bingo: Tulsa SPCA 2020 Virtual Bingo Bash

The Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tulsa SPCA) was founded in 1913 by local volunteers whose goal it was to provide care to homeless cats and dogs and also protect animals against abuse. Over a hundred years later, the organization has been continuously growing and with its shelter, clinic and various programs able to help thousands of animals. One of the Tulsa SPCA’s most popular fundraising events is the annual Bingo Bash, which was sold out in 2019, with more than 220 guests in attendance. Originally scheduled for July 18, 2020, it had to be postponed due to the current pandemic.

The Tulsa SPCA will be opening their new state-of-the-art facility in January, and will provide veterinary and adoption services for cats and dogs.  The veterinary services are provided at a decreased cost, to increase the accessibility of vital care for these animals.  The new facility was a long time coming, replacing the old building that was built in 1931.  There are many ways to get involved and support further progress, growth, and longevity of this vital organization. Best Friends Start Business with Love of Animals and Dogged Determination

Krista Keesling and Jill Pratt bonded over their mutual love for dogs, and when Krista started getting an abundance of requests to dog-sit, they took the opportunity to start Pet Sitting Services of Tulsa. Instead of boarding, their employees take care of the animals in the client's home, where the animals are more comfortable in their own environment. All pet sitters are interviewed extensively before being hired, to ensure they’re the “right fit” for the company.
