Scary characters of all kinds stroll through the Castle of Muskogee’s Halloween Festival.

Get into the spooky spirit of Halloween at the Castle of Muskogee! The festival is better than ever this year, with new haunts ranging from tame to terrifying. The Castle of Muskogee is Oklahoma’s 60-acre Halloween theme park, open from 6-10 p.m. every weekend this fall. With free parking and free admission to the Halloween Village, and the attractions ranging in price from just $3-$15, there’s something fun for everyone at the Castle.
There are eleven great Halloween attractions to enjoy, all conveniently rated by scariness using the Castle’s Skull Rating as a guide to choosing haunts. From the family-friendly Halloween Village (0 skulls) for the younger ones to Domus Horrificus (5 skulls) for extreme thrill seekers, everyone is invited to get into the Halloween Spirit at the Castle. This popular event continues to grow every year, and the Castle is making changes to improve the experience.

Come dressed in your favorite costume.
“We have implemented a new ticketing system this year,” said Matt Hiller, owner of the Castle of Muskogee. The system, called QLess, uses your phone number and alerts you by text message when your turn is coming up. “This way, you can get out and see everything going on at the festival instead of standing in line,” he added.
This is great news, because there’s more to see at the Castle than ever! If you’re looking for a bone-chilling scare, face the menacing creatures along the Trail of Blood or join in on the action on the Dark Tower Zombie Hunt, where it’s up to you to clear the area of Zombies and rescue survivors. If you’re into Halloween but not the accompanying nightmares, try the Haunted Hayride for some eerie excitement. There’s also plenty to do with absolutely no scares, so the kids can join in on the fun at any age.
“Here at the Castle, you can bring the entire family,” says Hiller. “The teenagers can go and do the Trail of Blood, the younger kids can ride the train and then everyone can do the Haunted Hayride or the Maze together.”
The Castle’s Halloween Village also features live entertainment on the Chessboard Stage with the comedy of the Jester Rejects and Mark Logsdon, Escapologist. New this year is David Smith, the Hypnotist, and Topsy Turvy Acrobats. If you’re looking for an amazing Halloween adventure, gather family and friends and hop on the Muskogee Turnpike – it’s only a short drive from Tulsa.
