October, 2021: Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa is bringing authentic Bavarian food, culture and entertainment to Tulsa’s River West Festival Park for its 42nd year, October 21-24, 2021.

“We’re eager to bring back one of the best Oktoberfests in America complete with an impressive schedule of events,” said Tulsa Oktoberfest Board Chair, Scott Mitchell. “We have all the Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa classics coming back and will also be introducing three new ticketed events, Ein Prost in die Zukunft (A Toast to the Future), Ein Abend mit Freunden und Familie (Friends and Family Night) and Frühstück auf dem Oktoberfest (Breakfast at Oktoberfest). You’ll find a little bit of everything at the Linde Oktoberfest including non-stop music, singing and dancing, a seemingly endless supply of beer, and good vibes for everyone all around.”

Title Sponsor Linde generously supports this iconic, Oklahoma celebration featuring bands and entertainers from across the U.S. and Germany, classic German and European foods, carnival rides, children’s entertainment and activities, an arts and crafts market, German-themed games, activities and contests, live music and dancing, and over 80 varieties of beer (bier).

New elements to this year’s celebration include:

Shuttle routes, “Schnelle Fahrt” (Fast Ride), will provide upgraded service to the front gate of Oktoberfest from new parking areas along Boston Ave. from 8th Street to 12th Street and locations throughout Tulsa including Downtown hotels, the Blue Dome District, OSU Greenwood Campus, Lewis Ave. near 81st Street, and Yale Ave. near I-44. PLEASE NOTE: Parking is no longer available at the Festival Grounds due to new development in the area. Shared Ride services will be accommodated on Jackson Ave. (enter on 17th Street at Southwest Blvd.)

Oktoberfest is now cashless, with all credit cards and phone payment apps accepted. Reverse ATMs will be available to exchange cash for Visa cards, accepted anywhere Visa is accepted including all festival locations.

Enjoy new private, ticketed events including:

Ein Prost in die Zukunft! (A Toast to the Future!) – This private, ticketed event will be held in Der BierGarten on Tuesday, October 19 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Tickets are limited to 1,000 guests that will be seated at 100 beautifully decorated tables (10 people per table). Private tables will be set with an authentic Wurstbrett (charcuterie board), and servers will refill your MassKrugs and bring a delicious dinner of either roasted chicken or German sausages and all the trimmings. Ein Abend mit Freunden und Familie (Friends and Family Night) For the first time outside of Corporate Night, guests will have the opportunity to reserve tables for Friends and Family on Thursday, October 21 from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. to celebrate the Tapping of the Keg, the Parade of Brewers and spectacular fireworks over the Arkansas River. A limited number of tables are set aside in each zelt (tent), and each table reservation includes a commemorative MassKrug and a first fill for your guests. Tickets are $350 per table for the complete package for ten people. Reservations are available at tulsaoktoberfest.saffire.com/p/features/thursday

Frühstück auf dem Oktoberfest (Breakfast at Oktoberfest) – Bring the entire family for this special breakfast in the expanded Paulaner Bier Stube that will feature our own authentic German Blaskapelle, German Dancers and performances by Das ist Lustig on Sunday, October 24 from 9:30 a.m. – Noon. Reserved tables of 10 includes admission for the full day of activities, a complete German breakfast and beverage of your choice ($400). Single tickets available for $40. Corporate Night “Gemütlichkeit!”: Nearly 500 Tulsa area businesses support this sell-out event each year which is the primary fundraiser for Tulsa Oktoberfest Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with a mission “to produce an authentic celebration of Tulsa’s German Heritage that will benefit and enhance Tulsa and its River Parks System.” Gemütlichkeit will be Wednesday, October 20 from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. Tables are available for reservation at tulsaoktoberfest.org/home-2/purchase-your-ticket/corpnightportal-copy/

Opening Ceremonies and Parade: Join us Thursday, October 21 at 6 p.m. for the Opening Ceremonies and Parade, and O’Zapft (It’s Tapped!), where sponsors, City of Tulsa BurgerMeister (Mayor), board members and volunteers tap the ceremonial keg, officially opening the 2021 fest, followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Music: Grammy-nominated accordionist Alex Meixner will be performing throughout the festival. Das ist Lustig returns for German Gemütlichkeit and Chardon Polka Band will, of course, Polka On! A full lineup of German bands and entertainment can be viewed at tulsaoktoberfest.org/home-2/experience/

Das Glockenspiel: Costumed dancers, musicians, and comedians perform every hour on the hour with lively skits, prosting, and songs at Das Glockenspiel. Giveaways and promotional items are tossed to spectators and specialty beverages will also be available at Das Glockenspiel.

Jugendzelt: Daily entertainment, crafts, games, a castle maze and entertainment are featured at Jugendzelt, presented by Pedistat. Hands-on activities and crafts include sand art, perler beads, the Lego fun zone, ring toss, sandbag toss and more. Bavarian Cup (Bayerische Tasse) Team Challenge: Teams of 8 people (minimum 4 women) will compete for the Goldenes Fass (Golden Barrel) Award on Saturday, October 23 in four intense games: the legendary Bier Barrel Race, the MassKrug Relay, the Strong Stein Hoist, and the Das Tauziehen (Tug o’War).

Team registration is $40 and includes admission for all members of each team (up to 8). Only 20 spots are available for teams interested in competing in the Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa Bavarian Cup. All participants must be 21 years of age or older to compete. Dachshund Dash: The wiener dog race always draws an energetic crowd and dozens of four-legged competitors. There is more than $650 in prize money up for grabs. Entry fees are $10 per pup (which includes admission). Activities are set to begin on Sunday, October 24 at 2 p.m. in the Karbach Games and Competitions Arena. Pre-registration is required. Lederhosen Lauf 5k Race: The Lederhosen Lauf is scheduled for Thursday, October 21 at 7:20 p.m. This approximately three-mile race begins and ends at River West Festival Park in the Oktoberfest Games Arena, taking participants along River Parks trails. All finishers will receive a commemorative KleinKrug (small stein) along with one free 16-ounce beverage voucher. Prizes will be offered for the best costume, so authentic Bavarian apparel is encouraged. Food: Der Restaurant am Himmel (Restaurant in the Sky) overlooks Der Biergarten stage and dance floor. The up-scale, delicious, three-course Bavarian meal is prepared by Rave Review Catering’s German chef. Dinner seating is available for Thursday at 6:30 pm, Friday at 6:30 pm, Saturday at 6:30 pm (first seating) and Saturday at 8:30 pm (second seating).

Kücken Hutte will be back serving their crowd-favorite delicious roasted chicken sandwiches.

Arts and Crafts: Authentic German Dirndl’s and Lederhosen Trachten (Costumes), Bavarian and chicken hats, authentic ceramic beer steins and official Linde Oktoberfest merchandise can be found throughout the festival grounds and also at the Markthaus Arts and Crafts zelt. Beer: More than 80 bier brands will be served in the festival’s popular collectible steins from over 300 taps. The German MassKrug is a one-litre (33.8 ounce) stein designed to closely resemble those found in Bavarian bier gardens and bier halls and a staple of the Munich Oktoberfest. A smaller 16-ounce stein, the KleinKrug, will also be available for purchase. Each tent will have a different array of biers, so guests will have a unique experience no matter where they choose to enjoy the festival.

Admission: Gates open Thursday at 4 p.m, Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m., and Sunday at noon. General admission tickets are $10 in advance only, with children 12 and under admitted free. “Zeeco Friday Family Free Day” offers free gate admission on October 22 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Credit cards will be accepted at all points of sale throughout the festival venue. No cash will be accepted. Cash may be converted to Visa cards at specially marked Reverse ATM machines.
