Ted Cundiff, AVB Bank president and chief executive officer (CEO), has announced the promotion of Jamie Wheeler to vice president and treasury management officer.

Wheeler will oversee AVB’s treasury management department and be responsible for the delivery of integrated treasury solutions to commercial and business banking customers.  In this role, she will work closely with commercial lenders and retail managers to deepen the customer relationship, identifying, analyzing and consulting on specific depository products and services to provide the best-customized solution to the customer.

Cundiff, stated, “Support in all avenues of treasury management, from the analysis and evaluation of potential solutions…through cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment, is imperative for the financial success of our commercial and small business customers.”  Cundiff added, “Jamie’s experience and knowledge demonstrate daily that she is the business professional to lead this strategic initiative for the bank.”

With over 16-years of sales, management and business banking experience, Wheeler has been an AVB team member for the last five years, most recently serving as assistant vice president at the AVB Stone Wood Hills branch.  Prior to her promotion, she was the branch manager and cash management specialist.

“Every day that I get to consult with business owners and managers in an effort to optimize their cash flow and reduce their financial risk is a good day!  AVB’s treasury management products, services and technologies are focused on these specific needs,” said Wheeler. “I am excited about helping these businesses achieve their financial objectives.”

A Broken Arrow High School (BAHS) graduate, Wheeler received her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources, focusing on Agricultural Communication.

She is a passionate advocate and supporter of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce (BACC).  Her BACC service includes 2017 Leadership Broken Arrow (LBA) class, 2018 Ambassador Club vice president/2019 president, 2017 – 2019 Miss Rooster Day’s pageant co-director, and multiyear Total Resource Campaign (TRC) key producer.  Wheeler was honored by the BACC earlier this year as the 2019 volunteer of the year.

Wheeler serves as a producer for the 2019 Tulsa Regional Chamber Resource Campaign. She is currently participating in the 2018 – 2019 Oklahoma Bankers Association (OBA) Emerging Leaders class, a seven-month program that engages the next generation of banking leaders in the process of dealing with issues facing the industry. Also, in an effort to continually grant the most memorable wishes to children in our community, Wheeler wears the many hats of an Oklahoma Make-A-Wish volunteer.

Wheeler and her husband of 12-years, Jamie K. Wheeler, have a 7-year-old son, Carter.
