Fall is approaching which means cooler weather, football and back-to-school. Drysdales, Inc. serves as your one-stop-shop for the latest trends and country classics. The store’s selection, quality, customer service and authenticity are key elements that have kept them in business for 35 years come this September.
Senior Buyers Frank Lambert and Leigh Ann Offield make it their mission to stay ahead of the fashion curve while still offering a wide selection in men’s and women’s fashion and denim. Drysdales offers a broad range in top brands such as Wrangler’s, Levi’s, Cinch, Ariat, Cowgirl Tough and Rock & Revival with the same variety in sizes that not all department stores carry.
“In denim we’re always looking at the finish, the fit and fabrics,” said Frank. “The driving force lately has been in the fabrics and finishes. Wrangler has these new Cool Vantage jeans that keep you cooler, Advanced Comfort jeans that are more comfortable and longer lasting. Ariat and Levi have that right now as well. They all still fit over boots, they’re just trimmer and cleaner. Everything is cyclical. I think all this innovation in fabric has made the guys more conscious of that.”
Leigh Ann admits that things have cleaned up on the ladies side as well. Certain brands and looks are kept on hand for the customer who still desires them, but the majority of stock will follow what is catching on in the industry.
“We want our customers to know that we try to stay on trends whether that’s the east coast or the west coast,” she said. “We’re already a step ahead and we want them to know that they can find what they’re looking for right here at Drysdales.”
From Miranda Lambert to Brooks and Dunn to Jason Aldean to Garth Brooks, Leigh Ann and Frank keep a close watch on the country music industry for upcoming trends for their customers while staying true to country roots of denim and boots.
“They’re way ahead of everybody else,” said Frank. “I’ve already seen some tight jeans on guys at the awards shows. Ronnie Dunn has been doing it for years. Garth’s got a new line coming out this fall called Sevens by Cinch. We’ve already got people asking about it.”
Both women’s and men’s fashion have a great variety for back-to-school. Leigh Ann notes that she’s seeing a lot of americana, bohemian vintage and vibes from the 1970s making a comeback.
“Drysdales is known for their boots and jeans, but from a ladies’ perspective, once we get out of that core they’re going to want something on the fashion side,” she said. “Fringe was big last year, it’s definitely continuing this year. It’s on the boots, it’s on your jackets, your shorts. It’s everywhere. That goes back to that bohemian look.”
The team at Drysdales aims for quality throughout. The company carries around 44,000 pairs of boots at all times with a vast selection to choose from in work, utility and fashion boots. They also offer flame-resistant clothing for the men and women who need it for work. Most pieces found in store can also be found online for the not-so-local customer.
“Our merchandise is quality and we want you to have that same kind of service. We want our customers to come back,” said Frank.
Drysdales has two locations in Tulsa with their main store at Memorial and 32nd street and a second location at 71st and Highway 169 with equal opportunities of selection in both stores. The company celebrates being locally owned in Tulsa for 35 years in September. Frank has been with Drysdales for all 35 years of operation, through every transition in the industry.
“It’s a testament because with businesses nowadays you just don’t hear that anymore,” says Leigh Ann. “They’ve been in Tulsa for the last 35 years and are only in Tulsa. Even when we go out and travel, people still know who we are and know our jingle, our online business, know our name.”

“We’re keeping true to who we are and where we’ve been for the last 35 years,” said Leigh Ann.
