The Demand Project Founders, Jason and Kristin Weis

There are guardians among us, fighting a war in the shadows of society’s darkest corners.  They are The Demand Project, and their mission is the eradication of sexual exploitation of children.

The Demand Project was founded by Jason and Kristin Weis.  Their journey began in their peaceful, Colorado home in 2004. One night, their lives were turned upside down, after seeing a horrific story on the evening news about the brutal rape of a small child.  As parents themselves, the story struck an emotional chord, and they knew they had to do something to save the lives of the children affected by these crimes.  The Weis’s moved to Oklahoma and attended Victory Bible College to obtain the spiritual training they would need to pursue their goals.  In 2013, The Demand Project was born.  Jason says, “It was our calling to fight to protect children, to put bad guys away, and to restore victims of sex trafficking.”

In the 5 years since they started this vital organization, they have become the authority in their field.  “Prevention is the pillar of our organization,” said Jason. The Demand Project is also charged with rescue and restoration of victims.  “We assist law enforcement and DHS in finding at risk kids,” said Kristin.  “We also facilitate resources with other non-profit organizations to get victims shelter, food, clothing, and anything they need for successful recovery.”

The Demand Project strives to educate, equip and empower the community about child predators who seek to do harm. Jason warned that social media apps, such as Whisper and KIK, and livestream apps like Live.ly and Musical.ly, are danger zones where sexual predators easily find their prey.  Jason and Kristin are currently working on organizing a Cyber Tech Team to aggressively tackle the challenges online.  The team will be a hands on project staffed by qualified cyber investigators, including off duty and retired law enforcement, as well as former military agents.  The team will engage with sexual predators online to prevent child exploitation, and gain the necessary intelligence to prosecute them.

In order to fund The Cyber Tech Team, The Demand Project will be hosting an annual golf scramble tournament, on June 18th, at The Golf Club of Oklahoma.  There will also be a silent auction.  Team entry is $900, and individual entry is $225.  Each ticket includes: lunch, practice facility, player gift package, 18 holes of golf with cart, breakfast, beverages, snacks, and opportunities for awards and prizes.  Join The Demand Project in their fight against sexual exploitation of children, and you can be a guardian too.

For more information, or to register for the golf tournament, visit www.thedemandproject.org or call Jason Weis at (918) 346-2168.  You may also email him at eat0@eau0eav0eaw0.  Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
