Tulsa’s newest home and garden show is coming back for another year. The Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo is set for a three-day weekend opening at noon on Friday, April 21, 2017 in the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.
The show falls on Earth Day weekend. Many of the exhibitors will be drawing special attention to how their business uses recycled materials in their products and how easy those products are to recycle. Other exhibitors will be showcasing ways to save energy and conserve resources around the house.
Perhaps the biggest news concerning this year’s expo is that attendance is now free. This applies to both parking and admission. As you enter, you can also register for the daily $500 cash drawing and for the grand prize of a $1,000 home improvement from USA Home Solutions. Register early on Friday and have four chances to have your name drawn.
The first 1,000 families entering the drawing will be given a free gift valued up to $9. Each adult entering the show will also be given a voucher, valued at $15, for free document shredding provided by Green Country Shredding and Recycling in Broken Arrow. This comes at the perfect time to shred that oldest year of tax records and other “spring cleaning” discards.
This year’s expo will feature a wide variety of building components, remodeling materials and service providers for your home. Some of these offerings will be seen for the very first time in Tulsa. The show is the perfect size to have a great variety of things to see and yet be easily walked in a two-hour period while allowing in-depth exploration of your favorite exhibits.
Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo is produced by locally-owned Tulsa Home Shows, which is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.
As you are planning your upcoming weekend activities, make sure to pencil in Tulsa’s newest home and garden show, Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo, and visit them online for additional updates, schedules and details. Show hours are Friday from Noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The VALUES Magazine Celebrity Stage will feature Kelly Edwards, star of HGTV’s Design on a Dime and several other series showing on Style Network, HLN and TDN.com. Kelly, a subject matter expert on interior design, will highlight repurposing and up cycling items around the house and answer questions about her TV shows. This is a perfect tie-in with the Earth Day themed event.
Tiny Home Town
Building on last year’s strong response to the first ever Tiny Home Tours, this year’s show will feature a Tiny Home Town consisting of multiple tiny homes from some of the top builders in the region. This 6,000-square-foot attraction will offer walk-through tours of different tiny home solutions designed to serve the serious and the curious alike.
New this year is the Rescue Roundup. Here you will have access to a sizeable collection of local animal rescue groups. Each group will bring several dogs or other animals for adoption to meet prospective families like yours. Every home needs a pet. In some cases another one.
Through special arrangement with Exterior Solutions by CRI, their popular scale model “UP” house will be featured near the Rescue Roundup area. Bring the kids to the UP house and post selfies to enter the Facebook contest or to send to the grandparents!
FREE Document Shredding
In addition to the shredding vouchers that attendees can use in the weeks following the show, Green Country Shredding & Recycling will be on-site Saturday from 10am to 2pm offering free on-site shredding. Bring your old receipts and tax records and watch the shredder in action!
