The Avenue of Flags

One of the most powerful Memorial Day exhibitions in the country begins on the Friday before what is known as The Avenue of Flags at Floral Haven. Over 3,000 funeral coffin flags donated by veterans’ families are displayed. Each year, new inductees are honored at a ceremony where the deceased veteran’s family raises their sacred flag. It is an emotional and powerful tribute. The Avenue of Flags will open on Friday, May 25 and the new induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. The flags will remain on display the entire weekend through Memorial Day.
