Twenty-five years ago, Tulsa kids gave back through a simple childhood tradition: lemonade stands. Attend the same old-fashioned tradition at the Lemon-Aid 25th Anniversary Celebration, featuring a wealth of lemonade stands to sample. Anchored at Guthrie Green in Tulsa, Lemon-Aid will offer a variety of lemonade recipes and variations, as well as several food trucks, hometown bands, contests and more.

See the larger-than-life FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN exhibit at the Tulsa Botanic Garden. These monumental sculptures created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box showcase 20 installations of metal sculptures inspired by origami, the centuries-old Japanese art of folding paper. These works of art take on the shapes of nature, including flowers, birds, grazing deer, galloping ponies, and more. The Oklahoma debut will also feature a 17-foot-tall kinetic sculpture of butterflies that will "float" above floral displays. Head to the Tulsa Botanic Garden between March 2 to September 21 to see this impressive and whimsical display for yourself. Head to the Pioneer Day Festival in Skiatook for a great day of family fun. The free festival events kick off Saturday morning with "Runnin' the Rails" certified 5K, followed by the Pioneer Day Parade. Audiences can marvel in this distinguished musician-turned conductor for our maiden performance at the University of Tulsa’s Gussman Concert Hall when he leads the orchestra in J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major, BWV1048. This three-movement piece is notable for its vibrant string ensemble which showcases Bach’s mastery of counterpoint and orchestration. Next, Fung’s Concerto for Two Violins and String Orchestra is a dynamic and engaging piece that explores the curious interplay of two solo violins and a string orchestra. The concert finale ends with the elegant four movement composition of Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C major, Op. 48 a beloved and majestic string orchestra piece.

ScotFest is Oklahoma's flagship celebration of Celtic history and heritage. Held in Broken Arrow's Chisholm Trail Park, this weekend-long festival has something for the entire family including food, crafts, and excellent live music. Don't miss the Scottish Highland Games, featuring over 160 athletes competing in the caber toss, Braemar stone, hammer throw, sheaf tossing and more. Come to ScotFest for genealogy and family (clan) history, musical entertainers of local and national merit, Scottish and Irish dance demonstrations, solo piping, traditional drumming, and pipe band competitions. ScotFest will also feature vendors of Scottish crafts and products, demonstrations of Scottish traditional domestic skills and continuing educational sessions and workshops throughout the festival. Come to ScotFest in Broken Arrow for wine and whiskey tastings, and bring the kids for a variety of children's activities including sack races, three-legged races, and a Scottish ring fling.

The Broken Arrow Rose Festival is joining forces with Chalk It Up! Art Festival to provide a spectacular free, family-friendly fun weekend. Broken Arrow invites you to its beautiful Rose District on Main Street for activities such as Chalk It Up’s chalk drawing competition, the Rose Festival’s Annual Rose Show competition, artist and garden vendors, food trucks, a kid zone, and an art contest with art exhibit in the Arts@302 Gallery. The Festival concludes on Sunday with Rose Kites over Broken Arrow at Nienhuis Park. This festival includes free kites to decorate with roses or whatever you like. Tulsa Wind Riders Kite Club will fly their large kites, have a candy drop, and demonstrate kite fighting. Also check out the huge Historical Kite Exhibit featuring kites from the 1800s and World War II. One of Oklahoma's premier events, the Tulsa State Fair entertains festival-goers with a large array of carnival rides, midway games, attractions, free concerts, creative art displays and much more. This fair attracts over one million visitors each year and thousands of visitors each day. Held since 1935, the Tulsa State Fair has blossomed into an entertainment bonanza with free concerts daily across three stages, grounds entertainment, exhibitions and stage shows. Come to the Tulsa State Fair to enjoy national headlining entertainment as well as exhibit buildings filled to the brim with attractions and educational displays. Bring the entire family out to the annual Route 66 Cruisers Cruise-In & Car Show in Claremore to celebrate classic cars along the Mother Road. The cruise-in begins at 4pm on Friday at Ne-Mar Center. Cruise down historic Route 66 to Foyil's Totem Pole Park at 6pm to enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs before returning to the Ne-Mar Center to watch an exhilarating flame throwing contest at dusk. On Saturday, head to Claremore Lake to admire vintage, modified and antique cars, as well as motorcycles. Over 50 classes will be represented at the show, and three trophies will be awarded per class. Browse vendor booths to find one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, then stop by a food vendor to pick up a snack. A Vinita tradition since 1979, the World's Largest Calf Fry Festival & Cook-Off features live music, vendors, and cowboy games. Celebrate Vinita's rich ranching history by tasting the festival's namesake and local delicacy—calf fries. Visitors who wish to taste the calf fries (also referred to as Rocky Mountain oysters) can purchase tickets to enter the cooking area. Vote for your favorite team in the People's Choice competition and sample other treats including beans, cobblers, salsa, and breads made by the various cook-off teams. Celebrity judges will determine the overall winners. The World's Largest Calf Fry Festival & Cook-Off serves up an average of 2,000 pounds of calf fries and welcomes about 1,500 attendees each year.
