Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association Spring Show

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association is the state affiliate of the AQHA supporting efforts to sustain and encourage growth of the Quarter Horse Industry in the state of Oklahoma. The OQHA is the umbrella association and supports the amateur and youth programs through the Oklahoma Amateur Quarter Horse Association and the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Youth Association. Azalea Festival
April 1-30, 2026
Held since 1968, Muskogee's Honor Heights Park boasts 40 acres of manicured gardens with over 30,000 azaleas in 625 varieties. Visit this stunning park throughout the month of April for one of the top events in the South. The annual festival celebrates the blooming of azaleas, tulips, dogwoods, and wisteria as these buds begin to unfurl during the warmer temperatures of spring to the delight of visitors. Often considered one of the top spring events in the nation, Muskogee's Azalea Festival attracts visitors from around the world. Make your way to Honor Heights Park to enjoy a drive along paved roadways that wind around the blooming flowers, walkways perfect for runners or birders, five lakes, a variety of picturesque ponds, a butterfly sanctuary, and a tree arboretum. The Azalea Festival not only highlights the beauty of nature in spring, but also plays host to a parade, a variety of food vendors, carriage rides through the blooms and more. The annual Azalea Festival parade features everything from floats, antique cars, clowns, and pageant queens, to horseback riders and cyclists. In recent years, this much-loved festival has expanded to include a chili cook-off, quilt exhibits, arts, and craft displays, a 5K, 15K and fun run, a bike ride and plenty of live entertainment. In mid-April, the park will welcome visitors for Party in the Park, a tasting of Oklahoma food and wine in a breathtaking setting. Thousands of tulips will be in bloom surrounding the event, which will be set up on a lawn under tents. Celebrate the kaleidoscope of color that blooms each spring. Enjoy free tours of Honor Heights Park and don't forget your camera - you'll want to capture every bloom and every memory at the Azalea Festival.

Reed Park Easter Egg Hunt

Schubert's Symphony No. 9,

Daniel Hege, guest conductor Rebekah Lorenz, horn Mussorgsky | Prelude to Khovanshchina Gipps | Horn Concerto, op.58 Schubert | Symphony No. 9 in C major, D.944, “The Great” Honored by the League of American Orchestras, guest conductor Daniel Hege returns to Chapman Music Hall to lead the orchestra in a dark and mysterious concert replicating the tone from the opera, Khovanshchina. Rich harmonies evoke a feeling of dawn over Moscow for the audience in Tulsa's Performing Arts Center. Thereafter, enjoy the expressive work of Ruth Gipps's Horn Concerto, Op. 58 which features a three-movement piece each with its own character and mood, ending on a likely and rhythmic passage. Hege leads the orchestra into the final and majestic selection of Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in C major, D.944, “The Great.” This four-movement piece travels through a bold, a relaxed, a lively and a triumphant orchestral journey. A concert not to be missed!

Will Rogers Easter Egg Hunt

Bring the kids to the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore for a fun Easter egg hunt to celebrate the holiday. Children can collect as many eggs filled with candy and other goodies hidden on the rolling hills around the museum. After the hunt, stick around to explore the 19th century ranch grounds. Tulsa Spotlight Theater: The Drunkard

Tulsa Spotlight Theater presents a weekly performance of "The Drunkard," an old-fashioned melodrama heavy on audience reactions. "The Drunkard" is an adaptation of "Ten Nights in a Barroom" which was written in the 1840s as a preachy piece meant to discourage the use of alcohol, but is now performed as a raucous comedy. "The Drunkard" has the distinction of being the longest continually performed play in North America having run since November 14, 1953. Find your seat and enjoy interacting with the performers as you boo, hiss, cheer, sing, and laugh along. You can even rent tomatoes to throw at the villain during one part of the performance, but please don't bring your own tomatoes!

Woolaroc Spring Traders Encampment

Green Country Hamfest

As the largest ham radio festival in Oklahoma, Green Country Hamfest in Claremore will showcase the latest radio technology as well as offer visitors on-site FCC amateur radio license exams. Kick off to the Route 66 Centennial in Claremore!
April 11, 2026 | 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
In 1928, a Cherokee farm boy ran the entirety of U.S. Route 66 – Los Angeles to Chicago – and onward to New York City. The halfway point for that era’s biggest sporting event was Claremore, Oklahoma. Most of the field of world class runners included participants from over 24 countries could not endure the 84 grueling days of the 3,423 mile Trans-Continental Footrace. The Mother Road crossed through the Mojave Desert and wound along vast plains, offering blistering heat, sleet, and snow. Only 55 runners would cross the finish line to Madison Square Garden. Andy Payne won the race 16 hours ahead of them all.

Rogers County Senior Day 2026 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th at the Claremore Expo Center. This is a free event for senior citizens and caregivers of senior citizens. There will be opportunities to learn more about resources available in the community. From 8am – 1pm there will be vendor booths, lunch at 11ish, Bingo (after lunch), health screenings, door prizes and of course entertainment! Tulsa Community College Presents: Brandy and Cecelia: Vampire Hunters Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus will present Brandy and Cecelia, Vampire Hunters, a fun, fast-moving stage play written and directed by Mark Frank, running April 16–18 at 8 p.m. and April 19 at 2 p.m. in the PACE Studio Theatre. The play follows sisters Brandy and Cecelia, two tough Wild West vampire hunters that some audiences may remember from TCC’s 2022 production of Vampires of the Wild West, but this time they’re facing something much bigger. When Count Dracula takes Cecelia, Brandy sets out on a daring rescue, venturing into Dracula’s world of castles, unexpected companions, and dangerous secrets that reveal hidden ties between them and the count. Along the way she crosses paths with familiar faces and new threats, including other vampires, a legendary hunter, and a growing realization that saving her sister may come at a cost. The show blends action, comedy, music, and a bit of chaos, with plenty of over-the-top moments and humor, and while it’s easy to jump into without having to know anything about the previous play before it, audiences should note it does include some mild language.
