Springtime at Shepherd’s Cross - an authentic working farm just north of Claremore, OK, on Scenic Route 66 - begins with the arrival of our newborn lambs. We invite you to come watch the flock peacefully graze the pastures and rest by the still waters, while the lambs jump for joy and frolic in the fields. Tour Options • Self-Guided Tour (Donation-based; suggested $5 per person) Stroll the farm at your own pace and enjoy watching the sheep in their natural habitat. • Guided Walking Tour (Donation-based; suggested $5 per person) Learn more about our flock with a guided walk adjacent to the pastures. Drop-ins are welcome, or you may pre-schedule. • Guided Wagon Ride Tour ($7 per person) Experience the flock up close with a wagon ride directly into the pasture. o Note: Must be pre-scheduled. Wagon holds 20+ passengers and is ramp-loading. Bible Garden Tours Spring blossoms also signal the start of our Bible Garden tours. Shepherd’s Cross is proud to house one of the few Bible Gardens in the U.S., featuring over 100 plants with Biblical references. • Self-Guided Tour: Explore our English Country Garden and follow along with our educational placards and map brochures. (Donation-based; suggested $5 per person) • Audio Tour: Enhance your walk with our online audio guide, available at https://shepherdscross.com/bible-garden.html Every visit includes: • Petting Barn: Meet our sheep, lambs, and other friendly farm animals. • Educational Demonstrations: Learn about Nomadic and Biblical shepherding practices. • Wool Mill Tour: See the journey of wool from sheep to finished item. • Farm Museum & Educational Silo: Interactive exhibits for all ages. You are welcome to bring your own lunch; snack and beverage concessions are also available on-site. • Farm Store: Don’t forget to stop by! Our Farm Store is an Oklahoma Farmer’s Market HUB with nearly 100 local consignors. We carry handmade, unique items as well as yarn and fiber produced and processed right here on the farm. Additionally, we carry felting supplies, and spinning/weaving tools. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility, Oklahoma Museum Association member, Farmer’s Market Hub, Made in Oklahoma Company, and is Animal Welfare Approved.

Experience living history at its best at the Spring Traders Encampment with approximately 125 tents and teepees set up for this annual Western heritage event formerly known as the Spring Mountain Man Encampment. Spend the weekend at Woolaroc in Bartlesville and join participants from all over the United States as they recreate the rugged pioneer life of the men and women who trapped and traded in 1840s-era Indian Territory. Step back in time at the Spring Traders Encampment and observe their lifestyle, learn about their backgrounds and interests, watch their craft demonstrations and check out their wares. The public is invited to browse through the encampment while enjoying food and living history demonstrations.

As the largest ham radio festival in Oklahoma, Green Country Hamfest in Claremore will showcase the latest radio technology as well as offer visitors on-site FCC amateur radio license exams. Visitors can also browse through commercial booths filled with the latest radios and accessories, enjoy a swap meet and flea market for ham radio equipment, or attend a variety of forums and learn something new. Free parking is available with a free shuttle service as well as low-cost, on-site RV parking. Hours: Friday: 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm; Saturday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Rogers County Senior Day 2026 is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th at the Claremore Expo Center. This is a free event for senior citizens and caregivers of senior citizens. There will be opportunities to learn more about resources available in the community. From 8am – 1pm there will be vendor booths, lunch at 11ish, Bingo (after lunch), health screenings, door prizes and of course entertainment! This year we welcome back Duke Mason (Elvis Impersonator) to provide entertainment for you throughout the day!

Grab your lasso and join the fun at Will‘s Wild West Kids at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. This summer camp will transport participants ages five up to 12 years old back in time to the Wild West with hands-on activities in a fun and entertaining learning environment. During the TWS Open House and Career Fair, prospective students will have the opportunity to explore in-demand trades and learn how short-term, hands-on training can lead to long-term career opportunities. Want to bring STEM subjects to life for your aqua fans? Join us for STEM Make & Take Project Evenings at the Oklahoma Aquarium! Participants will take away lessons about the importance of environmental conservation while creating unique STEM projects they can take home with them. Held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, our Education Team will have several sessions, giving you ample time to explore the Oklahoma Aquarium & visit all 10,000 of our amazing animals! Join us for our Walk A Mile In Their Shoes event! This Awareness Walk is driven by the urge to spread awareness for sexual assault in Rogers and Mayes counties. According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, it is estimated that 17% of women and 3% of men nationally have been victims of sexual violence in their lifetime. In Oklahoma, the rate of rape and attempted rape among females REPORTED to law enforcement has been 35-45% higher than the U.S. rate for the past decade. Help us raise money to serve local survivors of sexual assault and show our support by walking a mile in their shoes. This event will be held April 18, 2026, at Gazebo Park in Claremore. The Awareness Walk will begin at 9 a.m. with early registration starting at 8 a.m. Bring your family, friends, and coworkers! Create a team and be sure to deck out in TEAL and show your support for local survivors! Free water! Refreshments available! T Shirts are available for a $20 donation or with any level of sponsorship! Awards for best costume/most spirit and for the team with the most donations! *The walk will happen rain or shine. However, if lightning occurs, the walk will be canceled, and no refunds will be issued*
