First Friday Art Crawl

September 4, 2026 | 6 - 9 p.m.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As a bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

Jana Jae Fiddle Camp & Music Festival

September 4-6, 2026

Attend the Jana Jae Fiddle Camp and Music Festival and witness fiddlers of all levels and ages come together in a learning experience with master instructors and performers. Classes include demonstrations and instruction, as well as learning to play with groups and before an audience. All acoustic musicians are welcome. Other workshops presented are flat-pick guitar, back-up guitar, mandolin, cello and spoons. Enjoy this fun-filled weekend of learning, great entertainment and jamming with friends. This event will feature bluegrass music, swing and more. Bring the whole family and enjoy great food and great music. Learn from the best area musicians in individual and group sessions, then stick around for RV and tent camping, fishing and boating on Oklahoma's beautiful Grand Lake. The Jana Jae Fiddle Camp and Music Festival will also feature special appearances by fiddle groups, master fiddlers and top-contest fiddlers.

Greenwood Film Festival

September 6-10, 2026

Greenwood Film Festival is celebrating its sixth year in 2026. Held in the home of Black Wall Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, the festival's mission is to create an atmosphere of family and community through film and civic discourse while equipping the next generation of storytellers. The festival brings filmmakers and movie enthusiasts together for four days filled with screenings, engaging discussions, classes and networking opportunities. Greenwood Film Festival has featured films from Oscar-nominated directors to first-time trailblazers. Bluegrass & Chili Festival

September 11-12, 2026

Tahlequah is set to "sizzle" for the 46th annual Bluegrass & Chili Festival. Enjoy an open car show, a children's area and a festival marketplace filled to the brim with arts, crafts and handmade goods for sale. Stick around for a junior showcase featuring youth talent, dance exhibitions and an open car and motorcycle show. With a wide variety of things to do and plenty of chili to sample, the Bluegrass & Chili Festival guarantees a great weekend filled with family fun. Brand new this year the Festival will feature "Chili Dog" races featuring beloved Dachshunds. See which "weiner chili dog" wins all. Join over 20,000 visitors at this annual event and sample chili from cooking teams during the Mid-America Regional Chili Cook-Off. Whether your taste buds crave spicy, mild or something in-between, this chili cook-off is guaranteed to satisfy any appetite. Bring your lawn chairs, pick up a cool drink and enjoy three stages of local, regional and national performance artists. Musicians will entertain the crowds with a wide variety of bluegrass, country and old-fashioned gospel tunes, so show up early for a good seat. All concerts at the Bluegrass & Chili Festival are free. Tulsa Greek Festival - 66 Years on Route 66

September 17-19, 2026

The beloved Tulsa Greek Festival, the city’s oldest ethnic festival, proudly returns for its annual celebration this September. For 66 years, the Tulsa Greek Festival has brought authentic Greek culture, food, music and hospitality to historic Route 66. This year’s festival holds special significance as it coincides with the 100th anniversary of Route 66, making the event a unique celebration of both Greek heritage and one of America’s most iconic highways.
Hosted by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the Tulsa Greek Festival has been a cherished community tradition for more than six decades. Each year, thousands of visitors from across Oklahoma and beyond gather along Route 66 to experience the warmth of Greek culture through delicious cuisine, traditional dancing, live music and family-friendly activities. This church has proudly been part of Tulsa’s Route 66 corridor for generations and is excited to share its culture and traditions with the community in this historic year. Whether attending for the food, music, dancing or the overall cultural experience, the Tulsa Greek Festival continues to honor its mission of sharing Greek heritage. Scotfest

September 18-20, 2026

Scotfest is Oklahoma's authentic celebration of Scottish culture. Held in Broken Arrow Events Park this September, Scotfest will have something for everyone to experience a little bit of Scotland in Oklahoma. Experience the thrill of athletic competitions like the caber toss, stone put, hammer throw, sheaf toss, backhold wrestling and more. And no trip to Scotfest would be complete without witnessing the armored combat battles — where professional combatants reenact Medieval warfare wearing full armor and using traditional weapons. Enjoy authentic cuisine like haggis, shepherd's pie, Scotch eggs, and bangers and mash. Raise a glass of beer imported from across the Pond or expand the palate with whisky tastings dedicated to Scotland's rich distilling heritage. Don’t miss the dance demonstrations, piping, drumming and band competitions. Scotfest will also feature vendors of Scottish crafts and products like kilts, jewelry, tartans and other unique, handmade wares. New World, New Voices

September 19, 2026 | 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate bold voices with Valerie Coleman’s Umoja Unbound, featuring lively rhythms and a spirit of unity that pulses with contemporary energy. Saxophonist Lance Bryant joins us for Duke Ellington’s Three Black Kings. Critics enjoy his “rich, expressive sound that blends jazz authenticity with symphonic elegance.” The program culminates in Dvořák’s beloved New World Symphony, a sweeping masterpiece inspired by the promise and folk spirit of America.
