First Friday Art Crawl

May 1, 2026 | 6 - 9 p.m.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As a bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

Tulsa Ballet presents: Marilyn

Watch the Tulsa Ballet pay tribute to the life and legacy of Marilyn Monroe in their production of "Marilyn" at the Lorton Performance Center. The magnetic choreography will explore the emotional highs and lows of the Hollywood icon's life, blending glamor with the vulnerability and strength of the woman beyond the character. Oklahoma Renaissance Festival

May 1-31, 2026 | 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Step back in time to the 16th century with Queen Elizabeth I of England and hundreds of entertainers and artisans as they create the boisterous Village of Castleton at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. Held at the Castle of Muskogee, this beloved annual event features a royal court, jousters and jesters, magicians, musicians, and minstrels. Delight your taste buds with wonderful and unique foods or browse through vendor booths for one-of-a-kind items. Bring the entire family and enjoy a day in Renaissance England. Journey to an age of sorcerers, knights in shining armor, kings, queens, and maidens fair. When planning your voyage to Castleton, it is important to note, costumes are encouraged. On any festival day, patrons may discover guests dressed as fairies, Renaissance villagers and nobles, sci-fi characters and even pirates. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food and drink at one of the many merchants stationed throughout the festival grounds. Special evening events include the Masque'd Ball and The Pirate's Feaste.

Mahler's Symphony No. 2,

James Bagwell, guest conductor Jana McIntyre, soprano Teresa Buchholz, mezzo-soprano Tulsa Chorale | Zachary Malavolti, Artistic Director Mahler | Symphony No.2 in C minor, “Resurrection" James Bagwell, an accomplished American conductor known for his work in choral, operatic, and orchestral music returns to Tulsa to close out our historic Season XX joined by the revered Tulsa Chorale. Mahler’s Symphony No.2 in C minor, “Resurrection" is a five-movement piece featuring the Tulsa Chorale and its impressive soloists. The piece features dramatic and intense character and mood ranges all culminating in a superb conclusion intentionally symbolizing hope and resurrection. This profound piece will only leave you inspired, only to anticipate Season XXI of your Tulsa Symphony Orchestra!
