ASM Tulsa’s Dinner Series: BUT FIRST, TEQUILA presented by Messages Floral Design Studio will showcase a Cinco De Mayo inspired six-course meal with tequila and cocktail pairings featuring ASM Tulsa Executive Chef Devin Levine, CEC. This exclusive event with limited attendance is scheduled for Saturday, May 1 at 6PM at Cox Business Convention Center. The evening will begin with Royal Valet complimentary parking outside the new east entrance at Cox Business Convention Center. Guests will enjoy a cocktail in CBCC’s Grand Gallery at 6PM before moving to the dining area. The evening will also include live entertainment. TIME: 6:00 – 6:30PM Arrival / 6:30 – 8:30PM Dinner COST: $109 per person *Inclusive of taxes and gratuity. Event Brite processing fees may apply. DINNER MENU: Guasacaca avocado salsa with crispy tostones Ahi tuna & shirmp ceviche Mango, tomato, avocado & charred pineapple - Chile de Arbol & blue corn tostadas Chorizo patatas bravas & poached egg Aji verde, cumin-cascabel chili aioli & micro cilantro Ancho chile honey glazed salmon With goat cheese-apricot empanada, spicy black bean sauce, yellow pepper crema Slow braised pork cheek mole Masarepa cake, tomatillo-corn salsa, yucca chips, cilantro oil served with Latin cheese almojabanas (bread) Carmelized saffron orange arroz con leche Coconut flan, spiced papaya compote and traditional alfajores COCKTAIL PAIRINGS: We've partnered up with Rock n' Roll Tequila and are working on offering the perfect tequila and other beers and unique cocktails to pair with specific courses Chef Devin has created. We'll announce more on cocktail pairings, but tickets are limited so don't wait on getting your seats reserved for this unique culinary event! COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES Cox Business Convention Center is an ASM Global venue and adheres to “VenueShield” – an advanced environmental hygiene and operational protocol developed for more than 325 ASM facilities around the world. All protocols are aligned with public health authorities, medical and industry experts. VenueShield reduces physical touch points, increases venue sanitation and cleanliness, and provides health monitoring guidelines and services. CBCC is owned by the City of Tulsa and also adheres to all city protocols while continuing to work closely with city partners in recovery. Everyone is required to wear a face covering at all times while entering and while inside the venue. CBCC staff encourages all attendees to wear masks at all times, and signage around the venue reinforces this message. Social distancing is promoted to the best extend possible in all areas. Signage related to physical distancing, avoiding touching one’s face, wearing a face covering, and signage encouraging frequently sanitizing and washing hands can be found throughout the venue. Come join us Saturday, May 8 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for a celebration of Hispanic culture. There will be authentic Mexican food, dancing, music, shopping, a kid’s zone, and more! Mark your calendars for a day full of family fun! The City of Broken Arrow seeks to positively impact the community at large by ensuring they are purposeful and authentic in vendor and entertainment inclusion of the Rose District’s 5 de Mayo Fiesta, by purposefully including Oklahoma’s fastest-growing minority, the Hispanic community. Pet Food Drive & Adoption Event

Dave's RV in Claremore is hosting a Pet Adoption and Pet Food Drive! Dave’s RV will be collecting bags of dog and cat food the entire month of May. The bags must be new and unopened. Everyone that brings in a 30 lb. bag or more of dog or cat food will receive their choice of $500 off the purchase of an RV, or 15% off parts. Dave's has partnered with Oklahoma Alliance for Animals, Skiatook Paws & Claws and Zoi’s Animal Rescue for this event. Come out and help the dogs and cats find their forever homes. All food collected will be evenly distributed between the three organizations. Last fall they collected over 4,000 pounds of food! Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is a Tulsa based 501c3 nonprofit collaborative organization established in 2004. OAA’s primary purpose is to bring together the people and resources needed to overcome pet homelessness, abuse and neglect. Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation, encouraging responsible pet ownership and promoting the humane treatment of animals through community collaboration and education. Zoi's Animal Rescue although founded in 2005, the seed was planted several years before when Mike and Debbie Stellas rescued two lab puppies from being euthanized. They both had severe mange and the female had a birth defect, which made her left front leg deformed. They were named Zeke and Zoi (Zoi in Greek means "life".) Because of Zeke and Zoi, Debbie and Mike decided to start Zoi's Animal Rescue. Since 2005, ZAR has rescued and adopted out over1000 dogs and cats. Zoi’s is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-breed animal rescue group that is based in Claremore, OK. Skiatook Paws & Claws was formed in October of 2013 by a young lady who had a dream to make her local animal control facility a "no-kill" shelter by pulling every deemed adoptable dog and cat and adopting them out to loving forever homes. She teamed up with two of her friends and together, they formed what SPACAR is today. We have found homes for over 2,000 animals in our surrounding area and have successfully kept the Skiatook animal control facility no-kill for four years. They are currently in the process of becoming an official 501c3 organization. Food can be dropped off at Dave’s RV throughout the entire month of May. To wrap up the Pet Food Drive, Oklahoma Animal Alliance, Zoi’s and Skiatook Paws & Claws will be on site from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, May 15th with adoptable cats and dogs.
