Mother Road Rally

Celebrate Route 66 in Tulsa this June with a full day of fun at the Mother Road Rally. Held along the Tulsa Market District, this event will be full of nostalgia and fun including the classic car and bike show. In addition to the car show, there will be a collection of vendors and artist booths as well as live music and entertainment. Guests can grab a bite to eat at one of the many local food trucks in attendance. Don't miss out on this free-to-attend Route 66 event in Tulsa this June.

Port City Volkswagen Show

June 1-2, 2024

Head out to Rogers Point Park in Catoosa for the Port City Volkswagen Show. Bring the whole family to the Verdigris River area and enjoy over 125 Volkswagens old and new, as well as live music, a kid's zone and food. The Adventures of Princess Atlantis

Owasso Community Theatre Presents The Adventures of Princess Atlantis May 30-June 2 Owasso Community Theatre presents a children’s production of The Adventures of Princess Atlantis written and directed by Mark Frank May 30-June 1st at 7pm and June 2nd at 2pm at Morrow Elementary 12301 N 132nd E Ave, Collinsville, Oklahoma 74021. Tickets are $15 dollars for adults and $12 for children, seniors (65 and older) and military. They can be purchased at the door or by going to www.octok.org The play has a cast of thirty-six children in it ages 7-16 years of age. The Adventures of Princess Atlantis is based off the children’s novel by Mark Frank which tells the story of young Atlantis Sinclair as she discovers she's a lost princess of a faraway land, and is whisked away by a magical balloon named Ms. Poppit to the Enchanted Lands of Deep Earth. There she meets Everyone, a feisty fairy, Joe, the gentle giant, Pink, the fastest unicorn on the planet, and Smoke, a tiny dragon. Together, they all try to save the Enchanted Lands from the evil Spider King and Queen Lake, who want to take over the entire Earth with their powerful Sword of Darkness. A new, fresh children's story for the whole family filled with magical adventure that speaks about friendships, believing in yourself, affection, jealousy, treachery, life, death, and the importance of a child having a loving forever family through foster care and adoption.

Sunfest

Known to many as Oklahoma's biggest outdoor picnic, Bartlesville's SunFest returns for a long weekend of relaxed, family-friendly entertainment. SunFest features live musical entertainment, a diverse selection of arts and crafts, children's games, storytellers, food and much more. Enjoy the sounds of jazz, rhythm and blues, rock, bluegrass, and contemporary Christian music while over 20 individual artists and bands perform on three stages throughout Sooner Park. Another highlight of this summer celebration is the annual SunFest Car Show, held on Saturday.  Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, modified vehicles, low-riders, imports and more. See which vehicles win the top three awards in several categories. SunFest also features delicious fair food from over two dozen food vendors. Take a break with a tasty treat in the large dining tent, or simply browse through food vendors offering everything from traditional, down-home favorites to ethnic specialties. Come out and join us for Oklahoma's largest backyard picnic. And of course admission is still free!

Starlight Series: “A Certain Kind of Swing”

Starlight Concert's 78th season opener is on Tuesday, June 4 at 8:00 p.m. The Starlight Jazz Orchestra will present "A Certain Kind of Swing". The Starlight Band is not only one of Oklahoma’s oldest performing institutions, it’s also Oklahoma’s only professional concert band, and is proud to be one of the oldest in the nation, in league with Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, and New York City. Today’s Starlight Band boasts up to 50 musicians from Signature Symphony, Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, and Bartlesville Symphony, as well as music educators from area schools and universities, both active and retired. Approximately 20 outstanding jazz musicians make up the Starlight Jazz Orchestra, and over the years our conductors have included such local legends as George Brite, Jimmie Saied, and L. Dale Barnett.

Seussical The Musical Auditions

TCC Children’s Summer Theatre Presents Auditions for Seussical, The Musical Auditions for the Tulsa Community College’s Children’s Summer Theatre production of Seussical, The Musical will be held on June 8 and 9th from 1-4pm and callbacks and new auditioners on June 15th from 1-4pm at the Pace Studio Theatre at TCC Southeast Campus. There is NO cost to audition or to be in the production. Auditioners can arrive anytime between 1-4pm on any day. Casting ages 6-17 years of age. Everyone must sing and read from the script. Audition requirements 16-32 bars of a Disney song preferably with piano sheet music in a binder– an accompanist will be provided. No acapella please. Seussical, The Musical is based on the Dr. Seuss books, Horton Hears a Who! and Horton Hatches the Egg. It is written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Directed by Mark Frank. The vocal director will be Martha Beaty and choreography by Jennifer Andrasko. Production dates are July 25, 26, 27 at 8pm, July 28th 2pm. Rehearsals begin June 17th, 2023, and runs Monday-Friday 1-5pm.

Bass Reeves Western History Conference

See the story of Bass Reeves come to life during the Bass Reeves Western History Conference. Bass Reeves was the first African-American to be commissioned as a U.S. Deputy Marshal west of the Mississippi River. After Oklahoma gained statehood in 1907, Jim Crow laws prevented him from continuing as a deputy marshal, and he joined the Muskogee Police Department. This event is ticketed and includes territorial re-enactors, special speakers, interactive tours, documentaries, contests, food, and fun. Learn about Bass, the Light Horseman and other historic figures during the Indian Territory time period. Attendees are welcome and encouraged to dress in Western attire.
