National Trails Day Guided Hike

June 1, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Join River Parks and Turkey Mountain for National Trails Day on June 1st. There will be guided hikes leaving hourly from the lower lot near the restrooms and Turkey Mtn Sign from 8am to 1pm. 6850 S. Elwood Ave. Thanks to Ascension St. John, the first 400 hikers will receive a special edition Turkey Mtn National Trails Day Water Bottle! Hikes will be approximately 3 miles and last 1.5 hours. Not recommended for those with mobility or breathing issues. There is some sections of steep grade and 100 feet (10-story building) of elevation gain.

Fishing Derby

Mecum Auction

Saint Francis Tulsa Tough

June 7-9, 2024

Saint Francis Tulsa Tough is an annual three-day cycling festival designed to promote fitness and healthy lifestyles while showcasing the beautiful city of Tulsa. Races begin Friday evening with a Men's Cat 3, Women’s Pro 1/2, Men’s 1/2, and Men's Pro 1 under the lights of downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome Entertainment District. A spectator must-see, the races are fast and weave through crowded streets lined with bars and restaurants. With events for all skill levels in the historic Tulsa Arts District, Saturday is designed for the whole family with races, Gran Fondo rides of 40, 70 and a monster 110 mile, and more. On Sunday, events include the Tulsa Townie Ride, Gran Fondo rides of 40, 66 and 108 miles. Sunday's main event is the grueling River Parks Criterium, known to test even the most experienced racers. Running along the scenic Arkansas River and home of "Cry Baby Hill," this race distinguishes Tulsa Tough from other races. Winners of the team and individual omnium competition will be crowned after Sunday’s races. Pre-registration is required for all races and rides. Sunday also includes the Tulsa Tough Kid's Zone on Riverside Drive. The enclosed area will have inflatables, age appropriate toys and plenty of kid friendly activities. It is aimed at children ages two to eleven, and parents are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and snacks. You won't want to miss all the festivities and action this year, so bring the family and enjoy this top-notch Oklahoma event.

Bedouin Shrine Poker Run

Turkey Rocks! The Geology of Turkey Mountain for the Non-Geologist

June 22, 2024 | 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Turkey Rocks is a 2-mile easy to moderate hike with multiple stops on established trails. Geologist, Steve King, will lead the tour and discuss features and the processes that created them. The most common fossils of the period will be seen and discussed. The features, processes, and fossils are evidence and chapters within the story of when and how Turkey Mountain was formed. This hike can be strenuous in places and is NOT recommended for people with mobility issues or children under 14. The hike will last about 2 hours. Limit of 2 tickets per order. We can only have about 10 people in each group hike so tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. NO TICKETS will be sold the day of or onsite.

Summerfest Hunter/Jumper Horse Show

June 29-30, 2024

Join us June 29th and 30th for the 2024 Summer Fest Hunter Jumper Horse Show. Stewart Equine Enterprises is bringing The Oklahoma Hunter Jumper Association “O” Rated Show to the Claremore Expo. There will be something for everyone who loves horses. Watch as they compete on ability, skill, and form. The horse and rider will exhibit with grace and style as they work through courses with obstacles. Riders of varying skill levels will be competing.
