Tulsa Shootout

January 1-3, 2026

The Tulsa Shootout is one of the largest micro sprint racing events in the country. With over 1,000 participants gathered at Tulsa Expo Square, this thrilling event promises to be an exciting four days of fierce competition. There is something for everyone with six different classes ranging from Winged and Non-Wing 600cc Outlaw Micros to the Jr. Sprint class. Don't miss the opportunity to be a part of the Tulsa Shootout and see who brings home the Golden Driller.

Tulsa Holiday Winter Circuit

January 1-4, 2026

The Tulsa Holiday Winter Circuit is held at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square in Tulsa. This AQHA-approved horse show features a full slate of Western and English events as well as roping and working cowhorse. Also included are the Versatility Ranch Horse classes that showcase the talents of a working ranch horse. Watch the graceful, well-groomed horses and talented riders as they display their abilities for the crowds.

US Road Running – Sapulpa

January 10, 2026

The New Year race is scheduled for January 10, 2026 at Kelly Lane Park in Sapulpa, Oklahoma (1151 S Park St, 74066). The event offers three distance options: 5K, 10K, and half marathon. All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. The entry price increases on the Monday before the event. The meeting point is the pavilion next to the playground.

All Star Team Roping

January 10-11, 2026

All-Star Team Roping is an exciting format that is designed by team ropers to put the contestants first. This two-day event combines the finest competitors of other rodeo associations to create an all-star lineup. All-Star Team Roping features a finals qualifier and a year-end finals competition that will include preliminary and shootout divisions. Don't miss this exciting event at the Tulsa Expo Square.

Chili Bowl

January 11-17, 2026 | 8 - 11 a.m.

The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Square's River Spirit Expo is an annual competition for Midget Sprint Car racing. Held each year for over 30 years, these races attract over 300 talented drivers from around the world. Five qualifying night races lead up to the championship competition on Saturday. See cars race around the quarter-mile clay oval track and perform slide jobs that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

World of Wrestling Tulsa Nationals

January 15-18, 2026

Watch young wrestlers compete in World of Wrestling's Tulsa Nationals, hosted at Tulsa Expo Square. Youth, high school, and college wrestlers will compete for various titles, such as the outstanding wrestler award and team trophy. Support these wrestlers and see who comes out on top this January. Hours: Thursday: 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm; Friday: 7:30 am - 9:00 pm; Saturday: 7:30 am - 9:00 pm and Sunday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Mad Dog Demolition Derby

January 17, 2026 | 6 p.m.

Make your way to the Mad Dog Demolition Derby at the Claremore Expo Center for an evening of fun and car smashing. Come, see, and hear one of the loudest events in Claremore, full of crushed metal and smashed cars. Drivers will compete in figure eight, mower derby and Hornet car circle racing. This event is fun for the whole family, with a mini car derby kids will love and a full-size derby fit for adults. Claremore's Mad Dog event offers fast-paced action for everyone to enjoy, including the Saturday night Power Wheel Derby.

Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long

January 17, 2026

It's time to Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long. This annual 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K is back again with distances for every level of runner or walker. All courses are along the paved River Parks Trail System in Tulsa and are very flat with the exception of one hill that is encountered once on the 25K course and twice on the 50K course. The 5K and 10K courses are very flat. There will be great finisher medals for all distances, a long-sleeved tech shirt and post-race food and beer.

American Finals Rodeo

January 29-31, 2026 | 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

The American Cowboys Rodeo Association presents the American Finals Rodeo this January at the Ford Truck Arena at Tulsa Expo Square. Make plans to watch action-packed rodeo performances each day. The top 15 cowboys and cowgirls will compete in traditional rodeo events including bareback bronc riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, and cowgirls' barrel racing and bull riding. See traditional western skill in action as these impressive young athletes compete in the American Finals Rodeo.
