Get ready for a 5k like no other! Everyone is on an even playing field with start times based on 5k state records. There is a start time for every age/gender group. For example: 80+ Females will start at 7am, 75-79 Females start at 7:00:27, 80+ Males start at 7:03:53, etc. The complete list of start times will be posted at the race. Be ready! Many groups are only seconds apart. First wave starts at 7:00am. Be aware of your start time and be in the correct corral 5 mins before your start time. The corrals will be marked by age and gender. FAQs When does the race begin? It is a waved start beginning at 7:00am. Where is the start line? The race begins at RiverWest Festival Park. 2100 South Jackson Ave Tulsa, OK 74107 What is the age requirement to register for this race? No age requirement When and where is packet pick-up? 6am to 6:45am on race day (Saturday, August 25) at RiverWest Festival Park. What do I receive with my registration? Custom, gender specific, moisture wicking race singlet Post race "runners high" and refreshments How will I know what my start time is? Check the age and gender start time list by the start line at the race. I can't make it, are there refunds? TRC is a non-profit organization and plans for exaclty the number of registered racers. Unfortunately, that prevents us from offering refunds. Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund. You may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year’s race or any other race. Thank you for understanding. Is the course certified? Yes, the course is a certified 5k distance. How is the race timed? This is a "classic" race, no chips, no official times posted. Bibs will be pulled as you cross the finish line and kept in order. First 10 to cross get an award. Are there age group awards? No. This race is designed to level the age/gender playing field. Therefore, the first 10 people to cross the finish line will receive awards. Please be aware of the following: Because of the nature of this race, we ask that you be diligent in obeying basic running etiquette. The fastest runners will be starting in the back of the group so all runners must be aware of their surroundings and obey trail rules when passing or being passed. Run on the right side of the trail no more than two wide. Pass on the left and call out to runners ahead of you if they are over the mid-line of the trail. Give way to faster runners. DO NOT block the trails. Can I wear headphones? Headphones are strongly discouraged. If you do wear them, only use one earbud at a time. This is to help ensure the safety of all participants. Are strollers and/or pets allowed? Strollers and pets are not allowed on the course. But feel free to bring the kiddos and fur babies out to support the runners after the race.
