Introduction to Mixology

Saturday, April 6, 2024 and Saturday, April 13, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. | OSU-Tulsa Main Hall 2438 Whether at a local pub, an upscale restaurant, or one’s home, the bar is an essential part of dining, entertaining, and hospitality. This course takes an in-depth look at the bar and the many spirits and concoctions that are poured and mixed behind it. Beginning with an overview of spirits produced around the world to the methodology of making cocktails, you’ll leave this class with an understanding of crafting proper drinks and executing a professional and profitable bar. Students must be 21 years of age or older. Proof of age will be required. A micro-badge will be awarded upon successful completion of the course. If you have questions or a medical condition that requires you to have access to food and/or beverages at all times, please contact Tony Collins and special accommodations can be made for your situation.

Crawfest Six

This April, dig into some delicious crawfish in Tahlequah during Linney Breaux and Kroner & Bear's Crawfest Six. This annual spring celebration is centered around New Orleans-style food, drinks, and entertainment, highlighted by a never-ending supply of mouthwatering, Cajun-style crawfish. While you're eating, enjoy live music, merchandise vendors, games, contests and many more activities. Exchange Club Chili & BBQ Cook-Off

Bring your appetite to the Exchange Club Chili & BBQ Cook-Off to sample chili and barbecue from 100 cooking teams. Enjoy a full day of entertainment, drinks, and delicious barbecue with the whole family during this day of top-notch food fun. Purchase a taster kit and sample some of the best chili, barbecue, chicken, and pork in the five-state area along with thousands of other barbecue enthusiasts. Dishes available for sampling include chili, baked beans, beef brisket, chicken, pork spare ribs and hot links. Vote for your favorites then see which competitor takes the crown of People's Choice winner. A variety of concessions will be available, as well as an area designed specifically for children. The festival's kids' zone will feature food, inflatables, face painting, clowns, pony rides, camel rides and more. Herbal Affair & Festival

April 20, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The annual Herbal Affair & Festival in Sand Springs features over 100 vendors selling medicinal, cooking, and ornamental herbs. Perennial, heirloom, and annual plants will be sold, along with garden and herb-related products and supplies. A variety of food trucks, including Amish, Greek, Italian, Cajun, Indian and, of course, American cuisine will be available to hungry and thirsty visitors. There will also be a wine garden featuring several Oklahoma wineries. Live music and entertainment including cloggers, magic demonstrations and Irish music will provide a festive atmosphere to the event. Bring the kids to the Herbal Affair & Festival in Sand Springs for a range of fun games, face painting and group building projects.
