Souper Saturday

The Lilac District is hosting the always delicious, always popular Souper Saturday on Saturday, January 8. Pick up your tasting kit and wander in and out of the Main Street shops to taste a variety of yummy soups! Souper Saturday will be open from 11a – 2p; go early because you might miss out on a favorite if you wait too long! Tasting kits are $15 and include a specialty mug, menu, and tasting wrist band. Bangers & Mash lunch

Now in its 11th year, the Bangers & Mash Lunch is a great place to dine on March 17th in Downtown Claremore. Guests can enjoy a traditional Irish meal of bangers and mash, plus a cookie and drink. The event will run from 11:00am – 1:oopm at the Claremore Daily Progress parking lot, 315 W. Will Rogers Blvd. Purchase your raffle ticket to win baskets provided by J Farley’s, Main Street Tavern, Tap on the Tracks & Smoke & Tonic. Tickets are $1 each. Finally, anyone can enter to win Green Bucks in our Pot-O-Gold Giveaway. These are shopping dollars that can be spent like cash at participating stores in Downtown Claremore. The Pot-O-Gold Giveaway is easy to enter. Visit any of the participating stores through noon March 16 and fill out a drawing ticket. No purchase necessary. Some stores offer additional tickets with purchased items, however. At the Bangers and Mash Lunch, one ticket will be drawn for the $450 grand prize. The winner need not be present. Two smaller $50 giveaways will also be done during the lunch, but guests will need to be present to win one of those.

Broken Arrow Farmers Market

When the Rose District Farmers Market opens its 19th season on Saturday, April 2, it will be the first-time eligible shoppers can use the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables at the market. We have also added an additional 10 vendor spots to the market and created an entrance/exit to the main pavilion to allow for easier access. The petting zoo will be there the first Saturday of every month as well. We are excited for the new local musicians that will be joining us weekly as well.

Taste of Claremore is our annual food and wine tasting event with local shopping and live music in the Lilac District. Patrons can wander Downtown Claremore and experience the Taste of Claremore as they sample food and wine. Some of our best local restaurants will set up in downtown small businesses offering the opportunity to shop while tasting. There will be live music and entertainment by local musicians throughout the evening. This year’s event is sponsored by the amazing folks at Spectrum Paint Company. Purchase tickets early and plan to enjoy a night on the town while trying some of the best food around. Not only will you have fun but you will also be supporting local businesses. National Indian Taco Championship

If you love fry bread and Indian tacos, then you'll love Pawhuska's annual National Indian Taco Championship. Come hungry and be prepared to taste the best traditional tacos around. In addition to the tacos, visitors to this annual championship will also enjoy local bands, Native American dance demonstrations and craft vendor booths. There is always something for the kids from inflatables to children's games, so bring the whole family and enjoy a beautiful day in Pawhuska. Boare's Heade Feaste

Spend an evening feasting alongside King Henry and Queen Elizabeth during the Boare's Heade Feaste inside the Castle of Muskogee. Indulge in a magnificent five-course meal prepared by the king's chef de cuisine while enjoying entertainment by minstrels, belly dancers and a host of other performers. Guests will be transported back in time with authentic decorations, traditional clothing and a jolly, festive atmosphere. This year's menu includes a palate of cheese, grapes and bread, along with salad, broccoli and cheese soup, corn on the cob, herbed potato wedges, smoked pork loin and bread pudding. A cash bar will be available, so you can purchase wine, ale or soft drinks to pair with your feast. Advance reservations are required.
