Murder’s in the Heir by Billy St. John

October 1-9, 2022

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse Proudly Presents Murder’s in the Heir By Billy St. John Tickets on sale Now! Call our Box Office 918-258-0077 to purchase tickets or Buy Online www.bacptheatre.com Adults $22, Child/Student/Senior/Military $20 *Groups of 10+ Save $2 per Ticket!* The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is proud to present Murder’s in the Heir for two big weekends! September 30, October 1, 7 & 8, 2022 at 7:30 PM, and Sunday Matinees on October 2 & 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Playhouse located at 1800 S. Main Street in Broken Arrow. Turn the game Clue into a play and you have the masterfully entertaining Murder’s in the Heir!’ Almost every character in this hilarious mystery has the weapon, opportunity, and motive to commit the unseen murder. And it’s up to our audience to decide who actually did it! Each of the heirs to the tyrannical billionaire Simon Starkweather has the means and the motive to do away with him. Starkweather gathers his family and employees to announce the contents of his will. His lawyer, Lois van Zandt, reveals that he has bequeathed vast fortunes to his befuddled niece Fiona, her playboy son Jordan, his great-niece Paula (a Southern belle) and his grandson Simon III, as well as to his many servants. Then Lois delivers the bombshell! Within hours this will become invalid. Of course, the rejected heirs are not pleased, so it’s not surprising when they roam the old mansion carrying such items as an ax, a gun, and poison. Predictably, the lights go out, and Simon is discovered murdered. The play’s unique ending, utilizing secret ballots gathered at intermission from the audience, determines the killer in this Billy St. John maze of murder. The BACP is pleased to welcome back award-winning director Martha Cherbini as the director for this show. Martha has directed several shows at the BACP over the years – perhaps most notably “Gin Game,” which she and her cast took to state, national, and international theatre contests. She has assembled an extraordinary cast of characters! The cast includes Tom Berenson, Tricia Pruitt, Tanner Daniels, Charmin Whaley, Justin Lacy, Ron Hackney, Nancy Blass, Stephanie Foshay, Ryan Mash, Rhonda Jullien, Linda Amling, Natasha Taylor, Ron Friedberg, and Samara Cain. More information for this production can be obtained by calling the BACP at 918-258-0077. The BACP is located in The Main Place at 1800 S. Main in downtown Broken Arrow. “Murder’s in the Heir!” is presented by arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service. www.pioneerdrama.com . THE SPOTLIGHT SERIES THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER- 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

October 9, 2022

Beginning with their first performances in the early 1970s, THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER have become the cornerstones of contemporary music. Originally launched by Tim Hauser in 1969, Hauser, Alan Paul, Janis Siegel and Laurel Masse were the group by 1972. Cheryl Bentyne joined the group in 1979 after Laurel Masse left. Known for their amazing harmony and versatility, incorporating pop, jazz, R&B, rock and roll, swing, symphonic, and a cappella music, the group was signed by the legendary Ahmet Ertegun to Atlantic Records. The group made their recording debut with their self-titled album in 1975. Known primarily as an East Coast cult act, they expanded their following by starring in their own 1975 CBS-TV variety series as a summer replacement for the Cher Bono Show. Starting as an underground group in New York City, The Manhattan Transfer garnered international popularity when “Chanson D’Amour” from the 1976 Coming Out album became a number one hit in Europe.
