Pink the Ville

October 1, 2022 | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Don all of the pink gear you can muster and Pink the Ville at Family Healthcare Clinic's Annual Miles for Mammograms 5K event. Starting and ending at Tower Center Unity Square in Bartlesville, competitors can choose from three ways to join the 5K fun: Timed Run, Fun Walk or Sleepin’ In. The top three finishers in each group will receive medals, and awards to runners will be presented by gender and age group, including youth, and overall male and female. Competitors will receive a T-shirt with their registration and the first 300 registrants will snag runner swag bags. One most "Pinked Out" individual and team will also take home special prizes. Don't miss out on this fun race for a good cause in Bartlesville.

Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd's Cross

Pumpkin Festival at Shepherd’s Cross September 20 – November 5, 2022 Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 am - 6:30 pm Open Monday, October 31st Shepherd’s Cross has been hosting a fall event for three decades and once again returns with fun for the whole family. Shepherd’s Cross Pumpkin Festival is a harvest celebration held at an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore Oklahoma on Scenic Route 66. Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country. Enjoy wholesome fun for the entire family including over 50 activities, a hay maze, festive outdoor & indoor games, farm animal petting barn, farm demonstrations and fall story time. The farm’s focus is educational, mingled with fall festive fun. We will supply truckloads of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase, as well as straw bales & cornstalks for your fall decorating. There is a wide range of pumpkin prices, starting at $1.50 each. Come see our walk-through Pumpkin Patch, Game Area, and Hay Maze. Pumpkins are sanitized daily, and games are sanitized throughout the day. Suggested donation is $5 per person (suggested – not required). Pumpkin Patch Packages are available for $9, $12 & $15. They include a Pumpkin, Wagon Ride and take home fall craft. Size of pumpkin varies with package price and are available while supplies last. Wagon Rides in the hay meadow are $6.50 per person; children two and under are free. They “load up and head out” approximately every 30 minutes. Wagon ride is sanitized throughout the day. Farm Museum & Educational Farm Silo is open – free admission. The Bible Garden is available for self-guided tours where you can see pumpkins growing on the vines, and take a picture with the flowers. Shepherd’s Shop, a quaint country gift shop, features a host of festive fall, handmade wool and farm related gifts and wares from many gifted artisans. The shop is open year-round and carries snacks & beverages. Also offered are healthy food choices as well as grass fed, grass finished meats. There are modern indoor restrooms. This event is made possible by Heart of the Shepherd Inc., a public, non-profit Christian organization (501-C3) that teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Because of their generosity, the admission is free and operates by donations. Woolaroc Fall Traders Encampment

October 7-8, 2022

Experience living history at its best with approximately 125 tents and teepees set up for this annual Western heritage event. Spend the weekend at Woolaroc in Bartlesville and join participants from all over the United States as they recreate the rugged pioneer life of the men and women who trapped and traded throughout 1820s and 1840s-era Indian Territory. Step back in time at this Woolaroc Fall Traders Encampment and observe their lifestyle, learn about their backgrounds and interests, watch their craft demonstrations and check out their wares. The public is invited to browse through the Woolaroc Fall Traders Encampment, formerly known as the Fall Mountain Man Encampment, while enjoying food and living history demonstrations. Second Saturday Architecture Tour: Architect #1

Guided Garden Tour

October 13, 2022 | 9:30 a.m.

Gathering Place is partnering with AARP Oklahoma to provide Guided Garden Tours. The free guided walks will occur once a month in May, September and October, and each walk will focus on a different part of the park in full bloom during the season. October’s theme is “Fall Foliage Tree Talk.” A nature expert will lead each guided walk through a specific garden and will conclude with a hands-on activity themed around the tour, creating a keepsake for participants to take home as a memento from their experience. Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the experience. Tour begins at 9:30am.

STARGAZING WITH THE ASTRONOMY CLUB OF TULSA

Enjoy the Botanic Garden's broad skies at night! Come out for a sunset stroll in the Garden before the skies darken for our stargazing. Telescopes will be set out at the bottom of the Tandy Floral Terraces and members of the Astronomy Club of Tulsa will be sharing their knowledge of stellar, planetary and deep sky objects. Skies will be dark about 7:20 for viewing Jupiter and Saturn as they rise in the east.
