Cool Grilles in the Rose District

By: Christy Stephens | Category: In Our Communities | Issue: October 2022

The Rotary Club of Broken Arrow is sponsoring the “5th Annual Cool Grilles Car Show” on October 8, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cars, cars, and more cars… this event will show-off over 250 competition cars, specialty models and classic autos. The entire family will find plenty to do, see, eat, and shop along these 5 blocks in Broken Arrow’s Main St. area of the Rose District. In 2019, the Rose District was crowned as the small city “Most Charming Main Street” in Oklahoma by USA Today.

Come as a competitor or spectator during this awesome car show. Trophies will be awarded for The Best of Show, Mayor’s Choice, Police Chief’s Choice. Best Paint, Best Engine, as well as other classes will be awarded plaques; there will not be monetary prizes. Entry forms and more information can be found on the group’s website: www.coolgrillescarshow.com.

2022 Chairpersons are Rotary Broken Arrow members Lisa and Galen Engel. Along with being classic car owners and enthusiasts, they own Tiger Town Tees who have created the show’s shirts. Helping make this event possible are The Arrow Group as the presenting sponsor; also, AVB Bank, ASI, First National Bank of Broken Arrow, along with many generous donors.

Cool Grilles event admission is free. Also, that day, Museum Broken Arrow, and The Military History Museum will both have free sponsored admission. In addition to the Rose District restaurants and unique shops, there will be several food trucks and many interesting vendors. Classic rock music will play throughout the venue to set the mood for the show and contest.
