Broadway in Bartlesville Presents: Mean Girls

February 1, 2024 | 7:30 p.m.

Direct from Broadway, "Mean Girls" is the hilarious hit musical from Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), composer Jeff Richmond (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), lyricist Nell Benjamin ("Legally Blonde") and director Casey Nicholaw ("The Book of Mormon"). The story of a naïve newbie who falls prey to a trio of lionized frenemies, "Mean Girls" is full of inside jokes from the film, plus hilarious musical numbers you won't soon forget. Don't miss this fan favorite at the Bartlesville Community Center. This show is suitable for guests 13+.

Winter Barn Sale

February 1-3, 2024 | 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Winter Barn Sale is a huge, multi-family garage sale of donated articles including appliances, antiques, farming items, furniture, wall décor, housewares, DVDs, farm and garden items, children’s games and toys, home decorator items, bedding, office supplies, books, and collectibles, as well as clothing for the entire family. Sale is indoors and heated. Free cider and hot beverages will be available. Sale benefits Farming Missions, Starter Flocks, and Wool Mills in remote locations around the world. Locally, the sale benefits Rural Veterinary Outreach and Baby Blessing Bags. 100% of funds from the barn sale will go directly towards these projects. Monetary donations towards these missions are greatly appreciated. A tax-deductible receipt is provided upon request.

Paleontology In The Library

The OSU-Tulsa Library has partnered with the OSU-CHS Anatomy and Vertebrate Paleontology Department for this exciting exhibit highlighting research and discoveries of OSU students and faculty from right here in Tulsa! Stop by to see dinosaur vertebrae, fossil casts, 3D skulls and tools used in the lab and field work. Library hours: MON-THURS 10 AM - 7 PM FRI 8 AM - 5 PM SAT 9 AM - 5 PM Free and open to the public!

Oliver Twist

Step into the enchanting world of “Oliver Twist,” with a riveting theatrical adaptation that masterfully captures Charles Dickens’ timeless story of the little orphan boy born under mysterious circumstances. This adaptation, skillfully crafted by playwright and director Kenneth Henderson, delves deep into the intricate layers of Dickens’ original narrative, delivering an emotionally charged experience that resonates with audiences of all ages. Performed by the talented students of the Classical Catholic Drama Club at the Broken Arrow Community Playhouse.

King Cabbage Brass Band in Concert

Grove Bluegrass Show: Heartland Express

Head to Grove for a rotating selection of talented bluegrass performers. On the second Saturday of each month, a new bluegrass band or performer will take the stage for an exciting show. The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame has released the names of The newest members of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame will be honored during a Saturday, Feb. 17 ceremony and concert at Muskogee Civic Center. The 2023 honorees to be inducted into the OK Music Hall of Fame are: The class of 2023 includes: Ricochet, Bryan White, Timothy Long, Verlon Thompson, Jerry Huffer, Shelby Eicher and Governor's Award recipient David Webb.

Tulsa Spirit Fair

The Tulsa Spirit Fair is an alternative spirituality fair that will include information on spiritual symbolism, energy vibrations, law of attraction and other topics. Head to Stoney Creek Hotel for aura pictures, crystals, stones, oils, angel art, tarot, spiritual jewelry and much more. A variety of vendors and psychics will be on-hand to assist attendees and give a variety of readings and messages. Each fair has its own style and energy. The Tulsa fair will help you learn about alternative healing products and services, chakras, and energy fields. This two-day event will also feature lectures and workshops on alternative spirituality topics, ideas, and views. Past lecture topics have included meditation, using stones and crystals and past life regression.

We are excited to announce that the Junior Women’s Association (JWA) of the Tulsa Boys’ Home is bringing back their signature fundraising event, their annual Buttercup Bash. This is a cocktail charity gala to be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 6:30pm at the John L. Rucker Warehouse (1227 S. Detroit Ave., Tulsa, OK 74120). Complimentary valet parking will be available. This is a cocktail attire event and the theme this year is “Bringing Back the 90’s”, so dust off your denim tuxedo, go find your platforms and get ready to party like it's 1999. The gala will include delicious local cuisines, casino games, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets are $100 per person & $175 for couples. There are also sponsorship opportunities available. All proceeds raised from the Buttercup Bash go directly towards sustaining the mission of the Tulsa Boys’ Home.

SISTER ACT, A DIVINE MUSICAL COMEDY OPENS RUN FEBRUARY 29TH AT TULSA COMMUNITY COLLEGE Tulsa Community College Theatre and Music Departments will present Sister Act, A Divine Musical Comedy in the PACE Studio Theatre February 29-March 2nd at 8pm and March 3rd at 2pm on the campus of Tulsa Community College Southeast. Sister Act, A Dive Musical Comedy is written by Sheri and Bill Steinkellner and Douglas Carter Beane. Music by Alan Menken and Lyrics by Glenn Slater the musical is based off the 1992 starring Whoopi Goldberg abs tell the story of disco club singer in the late 1970’s, Deloris Van Cartier played by Mikaela Scott is placed in protective custody in a dying convent, her unique brand of funk comes face-to-face with the traditions of the church and the strict order is in for a change," reads a Sister Act press release. "Masquerading as a nun named Mary Clarence, this sister's act will have you laughing and singing in the aisles." Nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The musical is being produced by special arrangement by Music Theatre International. Joining Scott in the cast are Valentine Tarpley as Mother Superior, Brayden Marchant as Curtis, the mobster, Von Love as cop Eddie, Ashtyn Marshall as Sister Mary Patrick, Amanda Yarberry as Sister Mary Robert, Samantha Kennedy as Sister Mary Lazarus, Jenna Soltis as Sister Mary Theresa, Jillian Mohn as Sister Mary of Tours and guest artist, Mark LeHoullier as the Monsignor O’Hara. Playing the Pope is guest artist surprise. Also appearing in the ensemble playing numerous roles are Ana Nunez playing a dual role of Sister Mary Peer and Pablo, Canyon Garner as TJ, Touna Vue as Ernie, Adam Morgan as Joey, Aaliyah Morris as Tina, Sydney Greena as Michelle, Conner Griffin and Dominic Diamond as police officers. Playing other nuns are Moriah Jestus as Sister Mary Smiles, Natalie Curtis as Sister Mary Frolic, Nicole Brookman as Sister Mary Wary, Becky Hankins as Sister Mary Graceless and Sydney Greeno as Sister Mary Tattle. Sister Act features choreography by Jennifer Andrasko.
