First Friday Art Crawl

September 1, 2023 | 6 - 9 p.m.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As an added bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

Boats, Beats & BBQ

September 1, 2023

Come to Grand Lake and experience the most unique music festival in the country. Boats, Beats & BBQ offers three days of powerboat races, incredible music and mouthwatering barbecue. Held over Labor Day weekend, this fun event is accessible via boat or land at Wolf Creek Park in Grove on Grand Lake. Kick things off on Friday with a food truck festival downtown, as well as a Formula 1 Powerboat lineup and meet and greet. The poker run also begins on Friday and runs through Sunday. On both Saturday and Sunday, there will be boat races, a Kansas City BBQ Society official tasting competition and live music on the water. The stage is visible from the lake shore, but visitors are welcome to bring a raft and jump in for the full water festival experience.

Rocklahoma

September 1-3, 2023

Jana Jae Fiddle Camp & Music Festival

September 1-3, 2023

Jana Jae Fiddle Camp & Music Festival Attend the Jana Jae Fiddle Camp and Music Festival and witness fiddlers of all levels and ages come together in a learning experience with master instructors and performers. Classes include demonstrations and instruction, as well as learning to play with groups and before an audience. All acoustic musicians are welcome. Other workshops presented are flat-pick guitar, back-up guitar, mandolin, cello and spoons. Enjoy this fun-filled weekend of learning, great entertainment and jamming with friends.This event will feature bluegrass music, swing and more. Bring the whole family and enjoy great food and great music. Learn from the best area musicians in individual and group sessions, then stick around for RV and tent camping, fishing and boating on Oklahoma's beautiful Grand Lake. Lemon-Aid Celebration

Twenty-five years ago, Tulsa kids gave back through a simple childhood tradition: lemonade stands. Attend the same old-fashioned tradition at the Lemon-Aid 25th Anniversary Celebration, featuring a wealth of lemonade stands to sample. Labor Day Celebration

September 1-4, 2023

The Henryetta Labor Day Celebration is one of the largest Labor Day events in Oklahoma. Make your way to the town of Henryetta for a parade, games for all ages, concerts, a carnival, rodeo and an impressive fireworks display at dusk. Visitors to this Labor Day Celebration will also enjoy a car, bike and tractor show. The highlight of this festival is the parade, featuring a wide variety of floats, marching bands, horses, Shriners and more. Festivities and an assortment of family-friendly activities will take place throughout the city, so head to the Labor Day Celebration this holiday and celebrate alongside the residents of Henryetta. Conquer the Gauntlet Obstacle Race

September 2, 2023 | 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Conquer the Gauntlet is a challenging four-mile obstacle course and adventure race that features over 30 obstacles. Held at 181 Ranch in Bixby, this event will bring you face-to-face with taxing obstacles like climbing over walls, crawling through mud and slogging your way through water one to five feet deep. Conquer the Gauntlet will challenge you mentally and physically, but those who complete the event will be given a T-shirt and bragging rights.

Boats Beats & BBQ

September 2-3, 2023 | 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

MidAmerica Outdoors and the City of Grove are proud to announce the first annual Boats Beats & BBQ fundraising event, set to take place on Labor Day weekend, September 2nd and 3rd. The event will feature Formula 1 Powerboat Championship racing, high-energy music performances, and a BBQ cook-off, all in support of local charities. Boats Beats & BBQ promises to be a thrilling event, with Formula 1 Powerboat racing providing high-speed entertainment as drivers race at over 100 mph and make 180-degree turns while pulling up to 7Gs. In addition, attendees can enjoy live music from Bret Michaels, the LACS, Don Felder, and other regional and local artists which attendees can experience on the shores of the lake, in the water, or from their boats. The event also features a BBQ cook-off, with the Kansas City BBQ Society competing for $20,000.00 in prizes, including a people’s choice award. The event will be held right on Grand Lake at Wolff Creek Park in Grove, OK, and tickets are available both online and at the gate. The cost for an adult to attend all weekend is $30 (child weekend pass $15), or a single day for $20 (child single day $10). Proceeds from Boats Beats & BBQ will support local charities in the Grove community and surrounding Northeast Oklahoma area. 2023 Mayes County Fair, Pryor

September 6-11, 2023

Since its establishment in 1916, the Mayes County Fair in Pryor has promoted Oklahoma agriculture, education and community involvement through quality entertainment in a family-friendly environment. Vendors with farm and agriculture-related items, clothing and food will be set up at fair. There will be a livestock show complete with swine, cattle, lambs, goats, equine show and timed events, broiler and poultry. Other attractions at the fair are the pedal pull on Sunday for the young kids, tractor driving contest, pet show and indoor exhibits. Diamond Stone Music Festival

September 7-9, 2023

The annual Bluegrass & Chili Festival in Wagoner is cooking up plenty of family fun in the month of September. Osage County Free Fair

September 12-16, 2023 | 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

The Osage County Free Fair celebrates the agricultural abundance of Pawhuska and the surrounding area with livestock shows, a horse show, ranch rodeo and plenty of 4-H exhibits set up for visitors. Held since 1913, the Osage Country Free Fair features exhibit halls filled with educational and vendor booths, as well as a plant show and a dog show. Don't miss this year's talent show, and secure a seat in the stands for the fair's school choir, band and cheerleader competitions. Bring the entire family to the Osage County Free Fair where kids will enjoy the giant inflatables, turtle races and a vintage car show. Born & Raised Music Festival

September 13-16, 2023

The Born & Raised Music Festival is a multi-day music extravaganza that features some of the top artists in Red Dirt, Outlaw, Southern rock and country music. Headliners for the 2023 festival include the Turnpike Troubadours, Whiskey Myers, Ryan Bingham, the Randy Rogers Band, Lukas Nelson, Gary Allan and Randy Houser.There will also be performances by Mike and the Moonpies, 49 Winchester, Flatland Cavalry, Them Dirty Roses, the Red Clay Strays, Katilin Butts, Kat Hasty, Holly Beth and Jamie Lin Wilson. Rogers County Free Fair

September 14-17, 2023

Come to the Rogers County Free Fair and browse through Made in Oklahoma products, arts and crafts, baked goods, livestock exhibits and more. A Rogers County staple since 1955, this free fair guarantees fun for the entire family. Attend a horse show, check out numerous vehicles in the fair's annual car show or take the kids over to the fair's popular children's area, featuring plenty of activities geared specifically towards them. ScotFest

September 15-17, 2023

ScotFest is Oklahoma's flagship celebration of Celtic history and heritage. Held in Broken Arrow's Chisholm Trail Park, this weekend-long festival has something for the entire family including food, crafts and excellent live music. Don't miss the Scottish Highland Games, featuring over 160 athletes competing in the caber toss, braemar stone, hammer throw, sheaf tossing and more. Come to ScotFest for genealogy and family (clan) history, musical entertainers of local and national merit, Scottish and Irish dance demonstrations, solo piping, traditional drumming and pipe band competitions.
