Come join us at the 2018 Take Me Fishing Day with Tess and Lacey from News on 6 at the Broken Arrow Events Park near NSU. This fun and family-friendly fishing event will have goodies for the first 150 kids 14 years old and under. Bring your own rods, reels and bait. In the 13th year of Saint Francis Tulsa Tough, be ready to #MakeYourOwnLuck! Racers from around the world will compete under the lights of downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome District. Thousands of spectators will fill the streets to watch the races up close and personal. The free festival opens at 5 p.m. and is guaranteed fun and entertainment for spectators of all ages. The start and finish line is on Third Street just east of Elgin Avenue. Racing begins at 6:15 p.m., and the evening will culminate with the Pro Men's 60-minute criterium at 8:50 p.m. For a little extra, check out the new Rub VIP Lounge presented by Grooper, full of food and drinks. Saturday’s Gran Fondo takes riders southwest of downtown through Jenks, Sapulpa, Prue, Skiatook and Sand Springs. The course is divided into three different distances and designed for riders of all experience levels. Make sure to check out the Tulsa State Fair rest stop at Pretty Water – Lake Sahoma, full of games and food...the perfect midway spot for friends and family to cheer on their favorite rider. Criterium racing begins at 10 a.m. and will continue throughout the day. Racers take on an L-Shaped course through the heart of Tulsa’s historic Tulsa Arts District. Family friendly activities will occur all day at Guthrie Green including the Saint Francis Bear Clinic. The adults should check out SoundPony Hill and the new Oskar Blues Beer Garden, which are both along Main Street. Admission is free to all events. Riders will take on the Gran Fondo at 7:30 a.m. and go across the Skiatook Dam, through Sand Springs, Prattville, and return on Avery Drive. The course is divided into two different distances and designed for riders of all skill levels. Criterium racing begins at 8 a.m. and will continue throughout the day. Home of the legendary Cry Baby Hill, the course runs along the Arkansas River and Tulsa’s River Parks. The Townie Ride is a FREE 5.8-mile ride the entire family can enjoy. This ride begins at 2:15 p.m. The start line is just north of Galveston Avenue and Riverside Drive. There will be family friendly activities along Riverside throughout the day to enjoy.
