Springtime at Shepherd’s Cross - an authentic working farm just north of Claremore, OK, on Scenic Route 66 - begins with the arrival of our newborn lambs. We invite you to come watch the flock peacefully graze the pastures and rest by the still waters, while the lambs jump for joy and frolic in the fields. Tour Options • Self-Guided Tour (Donation-based; suggested $5 per person) Stroll the farm at your own pace and enjoy watching the sheep in their natural habitat. • Guided Walking Tour (Donation-based; suggested $5 per person) Learn more about our flock with a guided walk adjacent to the pastures. Drop-ins are welcome, or you may pre-schedule. • Guided Wagon Ride Tour ($7 per person) Experience the flock up close with a wagon ride directly into the pasture. o Note: Must be pre-scheduled. Wagon holds 20+ passengers and is ramp-loading. Bible Garden Tours Spring blossoms also signal the start of our Bible Garden tours. Shepherd’s Cross is proud to house one of the few Bible Gardens in the U.S., featuring over 100 plants with Biblical references. • Self-Guided Tour: Explore our English Country Garden and follow along with our educational placards and map brochures. Our Farm Store is an Oklahoma Farmer’s Market HUB with nearly 100 local consignors. We carry handmade, unique items as well as yarn and fiber produced and processed right here on the farm. Additionally, we carry felting supplies, and spinning/weaving tools. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility, Oklahoma Museum Association member, Farmer’s Market Hub, Made in Oklahoma Company, and is Animal Welfare Approved.
The Church Studio hosts a special concert every Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays and on special occasions with local and regional musicians prerforming a one-hour set. Come enjoy the music and support our local artists!

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As a bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

This Independence Day, Oklahoma Aquarium's riverfront backyard offers a front-row view to one of the most vibrant firework displays in the Tulsa region. In the afternoon, Jenks Riverwalk has a full day of activities for families including food, drinks, live music and more. The Oklahoma Aquarium will have exhibits available to peruse ahead of the fireworks show. Head to Jenks for this Independence Day holiday and create long lasting memories with families and friends. Head to Skiatook this July for the annual Kihekah Steh Powwow. This important Native American event will occur northwest of town and will feature a wide variety of traditional dancing and beautiful regalia. There will be gourd dancing nightly along with plenty of activities for kids like junior contests and Tiny Tots events. Slamboree welcomes spectators and car enthusiasts out to enjoy the sights and sounds of one of the Midwest's largest car shows. Held at Tulsa's Osage Casino Hotel, this event is open to all vehicle types, including cars, trucks, street rods, rat rods, and motorcycles. Judging starts Saturday and continues Sunday if needed. There will be top awards for cars, trucks, and bikes, plus 'best of' awards, kids choice and ladies choice.

The annual Craig County Free Fair in Vinita features a variety of exhibits, livestock shows, children's activities and nightly events. Come out and support area 4-H and FFA riders in the fair's series of horse shows, or browse through agricultural exhibits highlighting poultry, rabbits, breeding stock, goat, sheep and more. Celebrate the agricultural bounty of the area with a visit through the fair's numerous horticulture and baked goods displays, or simply grab some tasty fair food and enjoy a stroll around the fairgrounds. Visitors to the Craig County Free Fair will be treated to the Craig County Fair pageant, a dog show, arts and crafts, photography exhibits and more. One of the oldest running county fairs in Oklahoma, the Craig County Free Fair also features nightly performances and entertainment including ranch rodeos, antique tractor pulls and shooting exhibitions.
