Christmas in the Ville

January 1-4, 2025

Bring the whole family to Bartlesville for the Christmas in the Ville celebration. Guests can bundle up and ice skate at the Historic Train Depot and take advantage of photo backdrops like the 12-foot lighted ornament, an 18-foot Christmas tree and a sleigh.

BA Ice Rink

January 1-6, 2025

Skate under the festive twinkle lights at Broken Arrow's only outdoor skating rink. Bring your ice skates or rent them directly on-site and glide across the ice under the pavilion at the Rose District Plaza. Bring the whole family out to create new holiday memories at this fun attraction, which opens before Thanksgiving and runs through the New Year. Group rates, private ice, and birthday party packages available.

American Treasures: The Railroad Museum of Oklahoma

First Friday Art Crawl

January 3, 2025 | 6 - 9 p.m.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As an added bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

The Drunkard & the Olio

1st Quarter Weaving Classes

January 9, 2025

Weaving is a great winter month activity. Begin the new year with a new craft or expand upon your current weaving knowledge with one of our classes. Registration for each class is required. Navajo Weaving – Jan 9-11 Learn how to weave in the Navajo tradition in one weekend. This is a basic weaving class, including fiber arts history and practical technology; offered on site or virtually. Each participant will finish a project to take home. Retreat fee is $299.00; all materials provided. Inkle Loom Weaving – Jan 18 Learn to warp and weave on an inkle loom in this 3-hour class. Each participant will make and take home a sash and a bookmark. Class fee is $49; all materials provided Beginners Rigid Heddle Weaving: Mug Rugs – Jan 25 Learn how to warp and weave on a rigid heddle loom. Take 4 finished mug rugs home with you. Class fee is $99; all materials provided Table Loom Weaving – Jan 31-Feb 1 Students will warp and weave their projects on a table loom. Each participant will make & take home a scarf or table runner and a trivet Class fee is $159; all materials provided Rag Rug Weaving – Feb 8 Learn to weave on a pre-warped floor loom and take home a beautiful woven rag rug. Class fee is $10 plus $10 per foot woven, all materials included. Class participants decide on the length they prefer during class. A deposit of $20 is required. Floor Loom Weaving – Feb 27-March 1 Students will warp and weave their projects on a harnessed floor loom. Each participant will make & take home a scarf or table runner and a trivet Class fee is $259; all materials provided Freestyle Weaving on the Rigid Heddle Loom for Beginners – March 8 Learn to warp and weave in a freestyle fashion on a rigid heddle loom. Participants will leave with a beautiful wall hanging or a coffee table runner. Class fee is $99; all materials provided Log Cabin Weaving on the Rigid Heddle Loom – April 5 Learn to warp and weave a log cabin design weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Participants will leave with a beautiful scarf or table runner. Class fee is $99; all materials provided Our classes go a degree farther than most, and teach some history of fiber arts, and practical technology. As well as being augmented by hands on learning tools available in the Educational Farm Museum. Shepherd’s Cross offers weaving and fiber arts classes year-round, on an individual or group basis. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility, an Oklahoma Museum Association member, and a Made in Oklahoma Company that processes local Animal Welfare Approved fiber (chemical free, hormone free, free range, all natural). Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing the wool from their own sheep raised on site. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Shepherd’s Cross Farm Store is open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 – 5:30, year-round (closed some holidays).

Kool & the Gang in Concert

See popular R&B and funk band Kool & the Gang live at the Skyline Event Center at Osage Casino. Kool & the Gang will fill this Tulsa venue with the sounds of their top hits like "Celebration," "Fresh" and "Jungle Boogie." With 31 gold and platinum albums, two Grammy Awards and seven American Music Awards in their wheelhouse, Kool & the Gang is sure to deliver fans a night to remember.

Spin-n-Knit-In

On the second Saturday of each month, drop by the farm to watch or participate as we fellowship and work hand crafts and fiber arts. Western Hills Winter Bluegrass Festival

January 16-18, 2025

Come out and enjoy gospel and traditional bluegrass music during the Western Hills Winter Bluegrass Festival. Held over three days in January, this bluegrass festival is a fast-moving display of musical talent with a handful of bands showcasing their skills on the fiddle, banjo and guitar. The Western Hills Winter Bluegrass Festival, held on the grounds of the beautiful Lodge at Sequoyah State Park, will feature top bands from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, and Missouri. A special all-gospel show will be performed on Thursday. Bring your favorite instrument and participate in jam sessions held in the hotel lobby. A variety of musical workshops will also be held throughout the festival, so get your ticket or a three-day pass and brush up on your bluegrass skills. Workshops will be held on instruments such as the five-string banjo, flattop guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, and bass. Workshops on all bluegrass stringed instruments will be held Friday afternoon. Visitors must have a ticket to participate in all events. Stick around each night after the concerts are over for all-night jam sessions. All activities are held indoors, so this event will be held rain or shine. 

STEM Night at the Oklahoma Aquarium

Want to bring STEM subjects to life for your aqua fans? Join us for STEM Make & Take Project Evenings at the Oklahoma Aquarium! Participants will take away lessons about the importance of environmental conservation while creating unique STEM projects they can take home with them. Held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, our Education Team will have several sessions, giving you ample time to explore the Oklahoma Aquarium & visit all 10,000 of our amazing animals! This event is free for all Oklahoma Aquarium members or with daily admission. Due to this event's rising popularity, we've set up an RSVP system to save your spot!

Mad Dog Demolition Derby

January 18, 2025 | 6 p.m.

Make your way to the Mad Dog Demolition Derby at the Claremore Expo Center for an evening of fun and car smashing. Come, see and hear one of the loudest events in Claremore, full of crushed metal and smashed cars. Drivers will compete in figure eight, mower derby and Hornet car circle racing. This event is fun for the whole family, with a mini car derby kids will love and a full-size derby fit for adults. Claremore's Mad Dog event offers fast-paced action for everyone to enjoy, including the Saturday night Power Wheel Derby.

Tulsa Theater presents: Jo Koy

Head to the Tulsa Theater for a hilarious night of stand up with Jo Koy. From a Las Vegas coffee house to one of the nation’s premiere stand-up comedians, Jo Koy is sure to deliver relatable humor about families, children, and more. He was a frequent panelist on E!'s late night show "Chelsea Lately," has had six comedy specials released via Comedy Central and Netflix. Get ready for laughs at this one-night-only show in Tulsa this January.

Tulsa Welding School Hosts Career Fair and Open House for All Programs

Trade workers build society’s infrastructure by providing critical skills and services to support business, organization and individual daily needs. During the Tulsa Welding School open house, instructors will speak with future students to share how they can become industry professionals in only seven months. Prospective students will witness live demonstrations conducted by instructors while showcasing the gear and tools they use in the program. Guided tours of facilities and classrooms will also be available during the event. The financial aid and career placement teams will also be on campus to provide information and answer any questions future students may have. During the career fair, local employers will be onsite to give insight into a career in welding, HVAC/R or electrical. Potential students and job seekers have the opportunity to network with company representatives and learn more about potential employers.

State Fiddlers Convention

Visitors to the State Fiddlers Convention in Tulsa will enjoy live music performed by professional fiddle players along with daily dances. Formerly known as the Western Hills Fiddlers Festival, this convention will have some of Oklahoma's best fiddle players performing your favorite fiddle tunes. Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Show

February 14-16, 2025

The Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Show at Tulsa Expo Square is a can't-miss event for automobile lovers. With over 1,000 entires, this car show is full of impressive classic and custom cars from across the nation. Browse through stunning cars and hang around to see which cars are awarded the "Fine Nine" and the ultimate "Go for the Gold" cash award. This event features the annual Rockin' Billy Bash, celebrating the spirit of hot rod culture with a do-it-yourself attitude. See pinstripers, tattoo artists, barbershop, pinup and beard contests, valve cover races, soapbox derby races, rock n' roll and more throughout the weekend. Cars personifying the Rockin' Billy Bash spirit will take home a trophy as a part of the "Dirty Dozen" awards. This year's Action Arena which will be jam-packed with events like a demolition derby, mini bike drags and indoor freestyle acts with flamethrowers, burnouts, donuts and more. JA Inspire

February 26-27, 2025 | 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

JA Inspire is more than a career fair, it brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help launch middle school students into their futures: high school, college, and careers beyond. The program is both classroom and event-based, and consists of three segments: 1) in-class sessions presented by the classroom teacher; 2) the hands-on JA Inspire expo; and 3) an in-class debrief. During the JA Inspire expo, students participate in hands-on activities, often using equipment or tools used on a job. The multi-hour experience is configurable to align with local industry and career opportunities. JA Inspire is recommended for middle school students.

Peter and the Star Catcher Opens at TCC February 27-March 2 If you’ve ever wondered how Peter Pan learned to fly and gained eternal youth, all is revealed in “Peter and the Starcatcher.” The whimsical award winning Broadway play tells the backstory of not only Peter but also Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, the villainous Captain Hook, a notorious crocodile and other figures associated with Neverland. The Tulsa Community College theatre production runs February 27-28, March 1 at 8pm and March 2nd at 2pm in the VanTrease PACE Main Stage on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus. Based on a 2004 children’s novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play centers on a young orphan and his friends who are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island. At sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training. She’s part of a secret society tasked with protecting a magical dust of extraordinary power known as “starstuff.” Their bravery will be sorely tested by a group of pirates led by the fearsome Black Stache — later to become Captain Hook. The play, exploring duty, love and the bonds of friendship, serves as a prequel to the classic Peter Pan stories by Scottish novelist and playwright J.M. Barrie. The 18-actor ensemble playing a total of about fifty gender bending roles in addition to occasionally serving as inanimate objects, such as doors and walls. The play is family friendly. Movie Night at the Museum: The Princess Diaries

Splash!

March 1, 2025 | 7 p.m.

Come make a splash at the Oklahoma Aquarium’s largest annual party. Splash! is a unique event that brings together craft beers from area breweries, food by top local chefs and live entertainment. Also on tap will be games and prizes, a silent auction and raffle and a mechanical bull shark, making this one of the most exciting events in the Tulsa area. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Tiny Tulsa: An Accessible & Sensory Inclusive Free Play Program

March 1, 2025 | 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Bring your child to Tiny Tulsa at The Gathering Place for a sensory-inclusive play experience. This program is designed for Pre-K through 5th grade students and their families. The event will feature low lighting, soothing sounds, creative toys, art materials, and adaptive play elements that will provide a welcoming space for everyone. See the ONEOK Boathouse transform into a tiny version of Tulsa with elements like a farmer's market, construction truck, post office, art studio, library and more. Tiny Tulsa is held three Saturdays in February and the first Saturday in March. The program is free and open to the public, and gives children with special needs a space to feel safe and play alongside others.

On the second Saturday of each month, drop by the farm to watch or participate as we fellowship and work hand crafts and fiber arts. Bring a craft to work on or come for a "free help session" with fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, or felting. Shepherd’s Cross offers weaving and fiber arts classes year-round, on an individual or group basis. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility and a Made in Oklahoma Company that processes Animal Welfare Approved fiber (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, all natural). Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing wool from their own sheep, raised on site. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Kids will participate in historical demonstrations such as blacksmithing and quilting and participate in Aviation Day which will include flight simulation and a paper airplane contest. Later in the week, spring breakers can come to the camp dressed as their favorite movie character and enjoy a showing of "Night at the Museum" as they snack on popcorn. On Friday, campers will have a chance to showcase their own star qualities at the Mid-Afternoon Frolic Talent Show. Keep the kids entertained with this free, week-long event near Tulsa. Broken Arrow Community Theatre Presents On Golden Pond

April 4-13, 2025

This is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. He is a retired professor, nearing eighty, with heart palpitations and a failing memory—but still as tart-tongued, observant, and eager for life as ever. Ethel, ten years younger, and the perfect foil for Norman, delights in all the small things that have enriched and continue to enrich their long life together. They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé, who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer. The boy quickly becomes the “grandchild” the elderly couple have longed for, and as Norman revels in taking his ward fishing and thrusting good books at him, he also learns some lessons about modern teenage awareness—and slang—in return. In the end, as the summer wanes, so does their brief idyll, and in the final, deeply moving moments of the play, Norman and Ethel are brought even closer together.

Tulsa Welding School Hosts Open House for All Programs

Trade workers build society’s infrastructure by providing critical skills and services to support business, organization and individual daily needs. During the Tulsa Welding School open house, instructors will speak with future students to share how they can become industry professionals in only seven months. On the second Saturday of each month, drop by the farm to watch or participate as we fellowship and work hand crafts and fiber arts. Bring a craft to work on or come for a "free help session" with fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, or felting. Shepherd’s Cross offers weaving and fiber arts classes year-round, on an individual or group basis. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility and a Made in Oklahoma Company that processes Animal Welfare Approved fiber (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, all natural). Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing wool from their own sheep, raised on site. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Shepherd’s Cross and their unique Country Craft Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 – 5:30, year-round (closed some holidays).

Tulsa Opera presents: Dvořák's "Stabat Mater"

Don't miss a profoundly emotional performance of Dvořák's "Stabat Mater" presented by the Tulsa Opera at the Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa. The opera tells the story of the crucifixion through the eyes of Mother Mary. Joining the Tulsa Opera Chorale will be the Tulsa Opera Orchestra as well as four talented soloists under the baton of Aaron Beck. The opera is based on text attributed to the medieval Italian Franciscan monk Jacopone da Todi, which explores themes of grief, compassion, and faith. Despite the solemn subject matter, the overall tone of the work is positive and life-affirming. The performance will be sung in Latin with English translation provided. Delight your taste buds with wonderful and unique foods or browse through more than 125 handcrafted booths for one-of-a-kind items. Bring the entire family and enjoy a day in Renaissance England. Journey to an age of sorcerers, knights in shining armor, kings, queens, and maidens fair. When planning your voyage to Castleton, it is important to note, costumes are encouraged. On any festival day, patrons may discover guests dressed as fairies, Renaissance villagers and nobles, Sci-fi characters and even pirates. There will be living history demonstrations and marvelous live performances, like a life-size game of chess played by characters, a jousting tournament, thrilling acrobatic feats, KnightWings Birds of Prey and more. A children's realm featuring games and hands-on demonstrations provides hours of fun. Kids may visit the Ultimate Maze and take part in the Royal Quest and the Children's Knighting Ceremony.
