Lina González-Granados, guest conductor Emanuel Ax, piano Shostakovich | Festive Overture Beethoven | Piano Concerto No. 3 Dvořák | Symphony No. 9 in E minor Colombian American conductor known for her powerful interpretations and dedication to highlighting Latin-American composers, Lina González-Granados leads Tulsa Symphony Orchestra's milestone Season XX's opening concert. The performance begins with the bright, sparkling melodies of Shostakovich’s Festive Overture and has a very celebratory feel, making it perfect for opening night, followed by Beethoven’ s Piano Concerto No. 3, a dramatic and expressive work perfectly suited for the talents of Grammy-award winning pianist, Emanuel Ax. The season opener ends with Dvořák’s most famous and vibrant work, Symphony No. 9 in E minor.

Founded in 2003, the Rose District Farmer's Market, 418 S. Main St., is in the heart of Broken Arrow's award-winning Rose District. Its proximity to area shops and restaurants allows customers to experience all the Rose District offers. The market initially started with only 10 vegetable vendors. Over the years, it has grown to a two-day market with more than 50 unique vendors offering locally grown and hand-crafted products. There is also a mid-week market, every Tuesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.

Little Light House’s Annual Golf Tournament held at Cedar Ridge Country Club on Monday, October 27th. The tournament raises funds for the life changing education, therapy services, and specialized equipment Little Light House provides for children with special needs. This year we will be offering a morning and afternoon flight. Registration will begin at 6:45am for morning participants and at 12:45pm for the afternoon participants. By participating in our Little Light House Golf Tournament, golfers, sponsors, and attendees not only get to enjoy the lush greens and rolling fairways of Cedar Ridge but also make a powerful, tangible impact on the lives of children with disabilities. The tournament serves as a catalyst for positive change, fostering a more inclusive society that recognizes and values the abilities and potential of every child.
