Take a step back to the 16th century, into the Golden Age of England with Queen Elizabeth I! Over 400 performers and artisans are present at one of Oklahoma's premier annual events, the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. Hosted by the Castle of Muskogee, this event features a royal court, jousters and jesters, magicians, musicians and minstrels as well as many craftspeople and artisans. Living history demonstrations, live performances and great period food rounds out an excellent festival. The festival runs every weekend in May, through June 4, and is also open on Monday, May 29th, Memorial Day.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. Gathering Place will celebrate the vibrancy of the Tulsa community at Global Gatherings, a 13-week program highlighting various cultures and regions of the world. Every Friday in May, June, and July from 10 a.m. to noon in ONEOK Boathouse, families will be immersed in a new region of the world and learn about different cultures through hands-on activities, art, storytelling, dance, music, and more. Known to many as Oklahoma's biggest outdoor picnic, Bartlesville's SunFest returns for a long weekend of relaxed, family-friendly entertainment. SunFest features live musical entertainment, a diverse selection of arts and crafts, children's games, storytellers, food and much more. Enjoy the sounds of jazz, rhythm and blues, rock, bluegrass and contemporary Christian music while over 20 individual artists and bands perform on three stages throughout Sooner Park. Another highlight of this summer celebration is the annual SunFest Car Show, held on Saturday. Visitors can expect to see a wide variety of Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, modified vehicles, low-riders, imports and more. See which vehicles win the top three awards in several categories. Browse through the booths in SunFest's annual juried arts and craft show. Don't forget to swing by YouthFest for a wide variety of free activities designed specifically for children of all ages. The OKM Music festival has been providing international music talent and education to northeastern Oklahoma since 1983. As a staple of the small, rural community of Bartlesville, this festival provides an oasis of arts and culture to the city’s 35,000+ residents as well as to the surrounding area at large. Programming includes ticketed and free concerts in all music genres, artist workshops and masterclasses, music camps and conservatories, Native American dance demonstrations, musical storytelling, and performances that introduce children to global music genres from different countries. Past performers have included: Joshua Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, Sarah Chang, Tulsa Ballet, Itzhak Perlman, James Galway, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Solisti New York Orchestra, Leontyne Price, Houston Ballet II, and Wilson Philips. OKM's music festival is also multi-locational, utilizing event spaces in Bartlesville, Tulsa and other surrounding areas; bringing the arts to the masses and encouraging more tourism activity in Northeastern Oklahoma. Head to historic downtown Collinsville for the annual Hogs 'n' Hot Rods event. Featuring several car and truck categories, hundreds of classic, custom, and vintage cars, thousands of motorcycles and vehicles from 1900 to the present, Hogs 'n' Hot Rods is hog heaven for any auto or motorcycle enthusiast. The Claremore Museum of History will be hosting our annual fundraising event at Hard Rock Casino on June 29th. This year's honoree is long time supporter of the museum - RCB Bank. We will feature them during the evening, along with keynote speaker and former CHS graduate, the Honorable C. Darnell Jones. Celebrate Independence Day early with a public fireworks extravaganza at the Bixby Freedom Celebration. At the event, guests will experience the largest free public fireworks extravaganza in the area. Enjoy food trucks, a junior firefighter challenge and a patriotic program for all ages.
