The operation is tried on Charlie, who rapidly changes to a genius, far more intelligent than his teacher, Alice Kinnian, or the doctors who created the operating technique. As Charlie approaches the peak of his brilliance, Algernon shows frightening symptoms of regression. The play becomes a race against time in which Charlie tries to keep his new intelligence long enough to save himself and thus continue what he and Alice have found. This is a different kind of play: poignant, romantic, funny and tragic, but with hope of man’s indomitable spirit.

The auditions are open to children 6-17 years of age, and we will be casting forty children for the production which will be held on the Pace Main Stage at Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus. Those auditioning will read from the script and be asked to sing a song from a musical (16-32 measures) No acapella or pop songs. Please have your audition music in a binder to present to the accompanist for your audition. Rehearsals are Monday-Thursday from 1-4pm and a few Fridays in July. We do work around vacations and conflicts. There is no cost if you are cast in the production unless you want to order a production t-shirt. Lilac Festival is this months theme for Food Truck Thursday. This is a seasonal, monthly food truck and shopping event in downtown Claremore typically on the last Thursday of the month.
