Voctave

Voctave is an 11-member a cappella group from the Central Florida area. Formed in the winter of 2015, the voices that bring their artistic arrangements to life represent a wealth of diverse backgrounds and musical experiences. Group members have professional roots with Walt Disney World entertainment, but their range does not stop there. From gospel music to musical theater, contemporary Christian to barbershop, pop music to choral specialists, Voctave voices have covered it all both in and out of the a cappella realm.

Brown Bag It: Donald Ryan

Presented By: Tulsa PAC Trust The Brown Bag It free noontime concert series at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center happens the first Wednesday of the month. The series features some of Oklahoma’s finest professional musicians performing in the PAC's Westby Pavilion. A commanding and dynamic pianist, Donald Ryan has been called “a music kaleidoscope, sparkling at everything he plays.” This "everything" encompasses the arenas of classical, religious/inspirational, and jazz. His virtuosity and amazing gift of improvisation have delighted audiences throughout the U. S. A.- Carnegie Hall included - as well as in England, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the Caribbean and South America. At the 9th International Frederic Chopin Competition (1975) in Warsaw, Poland, Mr. Ryan was both a diplomate and the recipient of the Madeyska award. Since that time he has performed on three continents as soloist, collaborator and as a featured artist with orchestras. Among the luminaries he has played with are Simon Estes, Henry Mancini, Ralph Carmichael, Red Skelton, Eddie Daniels, Steve Wilkerson, Diahann Carroll, Eileen Farrell, Johnny Desmond, Joe Williams, Andrea Baker, William Warfield, and Leona Mitchell. He has also made more than a dozen recordings. A 2006 inductee into the Oklahoma Jazz Hall Of Fame, Donald Ryan has been playing the piano since he was three years old in his native Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. He has earned music degrees from Oral Roberts University and The University Of Tulsa and taught piano at ORU. In addition to his solo career, Mr. Ryan also delights in playing with his son, Barron, in the exciting piano duo, Ryan & Ryan. Donald Ryan is a Steinway Artist.

I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady From Rwanda

Godspell

February 14-23, 2020

Presented By: Tulsa Project Theatre This 2012 revival version tells the story of the Gospel of Matthew in modern-day New York City. A small group of people help Jesus tell different parables by using a wide variety of games and storytelling techniques with hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus and his messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.

KELLI O'HARA

An Oklahoma native with world-class resume, Kelli O’Hara is making her Broken Arrow PAC debut! On Broadway, Kelli’s portrayal of Anna Leonowens in the revival of “The King and I” garnered her the 2015 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical. Other stage credits include “The Pajama Game,” “The Bridges of Madison County,” “South Pacific,” and her current starring role in “Kiss Me, Kate.” Kelli received a 2018 Emmy nomination for her role in the hit web-series thriller “The Accidental Wolf,” and appears in the second season of Netflix’s series “13 Reasons Why.” Other film and television credits include” Sex & The City 2” and “Masters of Sex.”

5th Annual Tulsa Mardi Gras Masquerade

February 22-23, 2020 | 7 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Isn't time Tulsa had a proper Mardi Gras celebration? Oklahomans for Equality, LockHeart Productions, and the Blue Dome District are hosting the 5th annual Tulsa Mardi Gras Masquerade on Saturday Feb 22nd at 7:00pm. This event is for ages 21 and up. The funds raised by our 2020 masquerade go to support OKEQ. This event WILL sell out. Tickets start at $35, please buy them in advance in order to make sure you can attend. One ticket gets you into two shows! Enjoy a traditional Mardi Gras immersive environment with live Cajun and music at Enso Bar, or get a little crazy and go to a Mardi Gras gone wild celebration in The Unicorn Club. Our Masquerade is a fully immersive experience. From the flavors, sights, and sounds, to party favors, complimentary masks, bead necklaces, and more! Both on stage and among the crowd, our cast and crew of performers and character actors will whisk you away to the bayou with their wild costumes and performances. When you step through our doors you are walking into a proper Mardi Gras celebration. The masquerade is designed to be a philanthropic event that raises funds for local non-profits. Our 2020 goal is to provide OKEQ with a fundraiser that they love without tapping into any resources that can be used for their normal programming. Our long-term goal is to build Mardi Gras up to a level of notoriety that rivals other downtown holidays and festivals in downtown Tulsa.

Presented By: Tulsa Opera An unscrupulous American naval officer (tenor Matthew White) marries a young Japanese geisha (soprano Maria Natale) who believes that their love is eternal, leading to a heartbreaking betrayal. Last presented by Tulsa Opera in 2012, Francesca Zambello’s production of Puccini's Madama Butterfly returns to the stage under the direction of John de los Santos with James Lowe conducting.
