Symphony in the Park

You’re invited! Join Tulsa Symphony as we kick off our 2017-2018 season with a bang! Symphony in the Park celebrates summer, the arts, and our beautiful city at Guthrie Green, Tulsa’s urban park in the heart of the Brady Arts District.  This annual family-oriented experience attracts upwards of 4,000 music lovers and has become a festive summer tradition in Tulsa. Bring your picnic, enjoy the water features and enjoy a menagerie of pops and light classics, all building to an inspiring fireworks finale in front of our Tulsa skyline.

Brown Bag It 2017-18 Series Announced for Tulsa PAC Trust

The Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust’s Brown Bag It free noontime concert series on select Wednesdays at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center is back with another exciting line-up. The popular series, which was established in the early 1980s, is once again returning to the first Wednesday of every month, with the exception of January. Vocalist Janet Rutland kicks off the 2017-18 Brown Bag It season. Janet is equally comfortable singing Hank Williams or Johnny Mercer. Rutland will be accompanied by pianist Spencer Sutton for a set of vintage pop, jazz and country music. The mission of the series is to offer the community an opportunity to visit the Performing Arts Center facility and hear quality musical presentations. Audiences are invited to bring and eat lunch during the concerts, creating an informal atmosphere. Likewise, the musicians are encouraged to “inform” as well as perform by giving background information or program notes during the concert, breaking down the barriers between performer and audience. Williams Theatre at 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. About the Tulsa PAC Trust: The Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust is a non-profit organization formed with private funds in 1977 after the construction of the City of Tulsa’s Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Its Board of Trustees, appointed by the Mayor, share a passionate love of the arts and a dedication to the cultural life of the city. TPACT presents a season of entertainment events, assists the Performing Arts Center with facility improvements and gives grants to local arts organizations.

Fridays in the Loft Chamber Series - Mozart

The opening of the 2017-2018 Fridays in the Loft Chamber Series will feature one of Mozart’s grandest works for woodwinds – Serenade No. 10 “Gran Partita.”  Mozart composed three great wind serenades after settling into Vienna in 1781.

Classics I - Gala Concert

September 16, 2017 | 8 - 10 p.m.

Acclaimed pianist Jon Kimura Parker will perform Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 as the featured concerto soloist on TSO’s opening Classics Series Gala Concert on September 16, 2017. Known for his passionate artistry and engaging stage presence, Mr. Parker has been hailed as “an insightful energetic soloist” by The New York Times. Also on the program are Brahms’ energetic Hungarian Dances No. 1 and No. 5 and Bartók’s colorful Miraculous Mandarin Suite.
