Raúl the Third, the 2025 Books To Treasure illustrator, will give a public presentation and book signing on Friday, November 7 at 6 p.m. at Hardesty Regional Library. This is an amazing opportunity for children to witness the creativity and passion that goes into illustrating a book, and to meet a “real life” illustrator.
Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As an added bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

The show concludes with Holst’s The Planets, op.32 a dazzling seven-movement orchestral suite, with each movement named after a planet in the solar system and its corresponding astrological character. Dahl | Music for Brass Instruments Chamber music guests can enjoy a complimentary drink ticket and light hors d’oeurves with your admission as you enjoy the musical delicacy of Dahl’s Music for Brass Instruments. This three-movement intricate brass composition blends traditional and modern elements capping off the evening’s performance with an intricate and challenging finale that showcases the composer’s skill in counterpoint. The Quartet conducts masterclasses for students in local string programs throughout Northeastern Oklahoma and offers mentorship opportunities to TU orchestra students throughout the year. In addition, the Quartet performs two recitals at TU’s Lorton Performance Center, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester- both free and open to the public.
