Motion Picture Storytelling

Every Wednesday | 7 - 9 p.m.

This 6-week workshop will be held on the following Wednesdays: 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, and 5/1/2024 from 7-9pm at OSU-Tulsa. Everyone has a story to tell, and everyone has access to a camera. This online workshop will introduce the process of learning to tell a story with limited tools to preserve, inspire or share our stories with one another.

Trail of Tears Art Show

May 1-11, 2024 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The annual Trail of Tears Art Show, hosted on the grounds of Cherokee Springs Plaza in Tahlequah, presents authentic Native American art in one of Oklahoma's oldest art shows. Open to artists from all federally recognized Native American tribes, the Trail of Tears Art Show displays a wide range of creativity and artistic style. This diverse art show attracts artists, art dealers and visitors from across the nation. One of the most prestigious multi-tribal art shows in the country, the Trail of Tears Art Show began as a means of cultivating the art form of painting as a way of expressing Native American heritage within the Cherokee Nation. Peruse this year's Trail of Tears Art Show and view categories that historically have included basketry, pottery, graphics, sculpture, miniatures and the annual "Trail of Tears" theme.

Tour De Tulsa

May 4, 2024 | 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Tour de Tulsa has been a spring cycling ritual for Tulsa-area cyclists for more than 30 years. Tour de Tulsa offers routes ranging from 20 to 100 miles including a family fun ride with options ranging from 5 to 10 miles. Tulsa's premier spring community bicycle ride features good food, great rest stops, full on-road support, and friendly riders all along the way. The Tulsa Bicycle Club and Tulsa's River Parks host this fundraising ride. Proceeds from the Tour de Tulsa benefit the River Parks Foundation which enhances community life through stewardship of parks and public spaces along the Arkansas River. River Parks provides the region's premier public spaces for diverse outdoor experiences.

The Drunkard & the Olio

Spin-n-Knit-In

May 11, 2024 | 1 - 4 p.m.

Feb 10, Mar 9, & Apr 13, 2024, Saturday 1 – 4 pm On the second Saturday of each month, drop by the farm to watch or participate as we fellowship and work hand crafts and fiber arts. Bring a craft to work on or come for a "free help session" with fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, or felting. Shepherd’s Cross offers weaving and fiber arts classes year-round, on an individual or group basis. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility and a Made in Oklahoma Company that processes Animal Welfare Approved fiber (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, all natural). Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing wool from their own sheep, raised on site. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Shepherd’s Cross and their unique Country Craft Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 – 5:30, year-round (closed some holidays).

Lager Land Festival
