This 6-week workshop will be held on the following Wednesdays: 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, and 5/1/2024 from 7-9pm at OSU-Tulsa. Everyone has a story to tell, and everyone has access to a camera. This online workshop will introduce the process of learning to tell a story with limited tools to preserve, inspire or share our stories with one another.

This Spring,the Bartlesville Area History Museum is proud to present: “Our Oily Past” on display from April 1st through July 1st, the exhibit takes visitors on a journey exploring the successes of H.V. Foster and how he turned visions of wealth into revolutionizing the nation’s energy industry by taking over the development of the oil and natural gas Blanket Leases which was then controlled by the business, the Indian Territory Illuminating Oil company (I.T.I.O). The exhibit will feature various artifacts from local oil companies like I.T.I.O and youngsters or the “young at heart” may enjoy our history of oil coloring station and gander through BAHMs turn of the century Nelson Carr One-Room School! Museum admission is free, but donations are always welcome. No reservation is necessary.

Join us for the FIRST EVER haunted history tour and dinner of downtown Broken Arrow! Take a stroll through the roses and hear about the thorns that contribute to the hauntings of this 120-year-old city! This tour will entertain you with an evening of Broken Arrow history, ghost stories, urban legends, and folklore. It includes an on-site visit to Broken Arrow's first hospital, the site of many paranormal experiences. You may even have one of your own! The evening will end with a custom chocolate and more urban legends and folklore at the after-tour reception with food and drinks. Tour is approximately two hours long. The Art of Cinematic Lighting is two-day workshop that will be held from 10am - 5pm on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 in person at Good Name Co, 6838 E. 44th St, Tulsa, OK 74145. The workshop introduces students to the basics of lighting a scene for a traditional narrative film production. Students will learn how to use gear found on professional sets, including a variety of lights, stands, and light modifiers, as well as, basic techniques used to achieve looks frequently utilized during the course of a film production. The workshop will be taught by veteran filmmakers using a blend of lecture and hands-on exercises in a professional lighting studio.

Every Saturday in May, Gathering Place will offer Tiny Tulsa, an inclusive play program in ONEOK Boathouse. This program is designed for Pre-K through 5th grade students and their families and features low lighting, soothing sounds, creative toys, art materials, and adaptive play elements in an inclusive environment, offering children with special needs a space to feel safe and play alongside others. ONEOK Boathouse will transform into a tiny version of Tulsa, featuring a farmer's market, food truck, construction truck, post office, medical office, art studio, library, and park.

Editing can be one of the most challenging aspects of filmmaking. Blending artistic interpretation with technical know-how is a juggling act - but one that can be learned! In this workshop, students will receive an introduction to the post-production workflow commonly used by film editors from project creation and organization to generating a final viewable sample of their work.
