Ten Tenors

The TEN Tenors are an Australian music ensemble that has toured extensively nationally and internationally, and released more than 20 albums.Cameron Barclay, Daniel Belle, Michael Dimovski, Michael Edwards, Adrian Li Donni, Jarad Newell, Boyd Owen, JD Smith, Riley Sutton and Sam Ward. Since The TEN Tenors was first formed in 1995, the group has performed extensively in Australia, overseas and on television, and their signature brand of music featuring 10-part harmonies has been enjoyed by more than 90 million people. They have headlined more than 2,000 concerts around the world, sold more than 3.5 million concert tickets and become renowned for their dynamic, choreographed performances and skillful ability to seamlessly transition from operatic arias to soulful ballads through to chart-topping pop and rock songs. They have also shared the stage with artists including Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Andrea Boccelli, Willie Nelson, Alanis Morissette and Christina Aguilera. They have also appeared extensively on TV, including The Today Show, Oprah’s Australian Adventure, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as well as the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon for an audience of 32 million viewers and the 2012 UEFA Cup in Warsaw, Poland.

Alice @ Wonderland Children's Theater

March 1-6, 2022

To honor and memorialize this gem of Tulsa history, a group of Spotlight patrons joined with donors from the community, architecture buffs, and the family of Patti Shriner to create this monument. The Tulsa Spotlight Theatre Historical Monument is a black granite slab sourced from Sri Lanka. The monument literally "sets in stone" the significance and history of the Spotlight Theatre. The monument is etched with text and historical photos telling the story of original owner Patti Shriner and building architect Bruce Goff. It features Spotlight co-founder Richard Mansfield Dickinson, Tulsa Spotlighters, and a number of principal actors and performers who have graced the stage of the Spotlight Theatre over the decades.

Claremore Day at the Capitol

Extraordinary Women

March 4-5, 2022

The Extraordinary Women is known for holding Christian women event with an aim to bring women closer to the heart of God. Their organized programs also provide resources that equip women to handle difficulties of their life while enriching their hearts, encouraging their souls and expanding their ministries. The organization is engaged in transforming power of the grace of God to restore lives and bringing the message of hope and healing through their speakers and music. They are backed with dedicated and experienced members who are engaged in planning and designing programs as effective and focused as they are expected to be.

Queensferry Renaissance Festival

March 19-20, 2022 | 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

At the annual Queensferry Renaissance Festival, step back into 1540 Scotland as the villagers prepare for King James V's arrival. At this Vinita renaissance festival, look out for the Queen Mother, Margaret Tudor, who may greet her son here in Queensferry. Guests can shop the wares of the land's best artisans and enjoy the entertainment provided by village musicians and dancers. The kids can also have a blast in the expanded children's realm. During the Queensferry Renaissance Festival, perhaps the eye of the King shall fall upon you, or maybe you will help cheer on the King's Champion as the ultimate battle unfolds. All ages are invited to come experience the magic of 16th-century Scotland at this Vinita festival.

Cherokee Ethnobiology

March 21, 2022 | 7 p.m.

Free to the public. Sponsored by Master Gardeners Association of Rogers County and OSU Ext. Rogers County Feather Smith has been with the Cherokee Nation since 2007. She worked as a tour guide in the Diligwa Village at the Cherokee Heritage Center until 2015. She then served as a cultural biologist before becoming the current Ethnobiology Manager with the Secretary of Natural Resources Office. As the Ethnobiology Manager, she oversees the Cherokee Nation Seed Bank and helps care for the Cherokee Nation Heirloom Garden and Native Plant site. Feather has a Bachelor of Science in fish and wildlife biology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. The PowerPoint presentation is titled Cherokee Ethnobiology which is the study of how Cherokee people interact wtih their environment. The first half of the presentation focuses on Cherokee Heirloom crops and the Cherokee Nation seed bank. The second half focuses on cultural forestry and highlights many of the native plants that are important for cultural and medicinal purposes.
