Link Up: The Orchestra Sings Family Concert

March 4, 2018 | 3 - 5 p.m.

For more than 30 years, Carnegie Hall Link Up has paired orchestras with students in grades 3-5 to explore orchestral repertoire and fundamental musical skills, including creative work and composition, through a hands-on music curriculum. Tulsa Symphony became a Link Up partner in the 2015-16 season. Students participate by singing or playing along on recorder with TSO from their seats in the concert hall. In our second season, TSO served over 12,000 students by partnering with their school music programs. Our 2017-18 season will serve upwards of 15,000 students.

Fridays in the Loft Chamber Series - Beethoven and Ewazen

March 9, 2018 | 7 - 9 p.m.

The final TSO Chamber Series performance of the season will feature music by Ewazen and Beethoven. Eric Ewazen’s Trio for Trumpet, Violin and Piano (1992), one of Ewazen’s more popular works, showcases the contrasting qualities of the cello and trumpet in four uniquely diverse movements.

Country Mile Neighborhood Gathering At Shepherd’s Cross

 What: Potluck lunch - games, and fun on the farm  When: Saturday March 10 from 11:30 – 1:00 (meal) but come & go and stay and play all day  Where: Shepherd’s Cross, 16792 E 450 Rd, Claremore OK 74017  Who: All are welcome, with a special invitation to those that live within an approximate five mile radius of Shepherd’s Cross. Children and adults are always welcome.  What to Bring: A potluck meal item to share and your neighbors  Purpose: To get to know our neighbors! And have some good old fashioned, down home fun  Enjoy Farm Activities - Free for all o Shepherd’s Garden Tours – a Bible Garden o Wool Mill Guided Tour - wool is processed on site – combed, spun, and woven into a finished product. o Visit the sheep and farm animals in the farm animal barn area. (USDA licensed) o Tour the educational & interactive Farm Museum & Educational Silo – guided or self-guided tours  Shepherd’s Shop features a host of “woolly” and farm related handmade gifts made by Shepherd’s Cross and over 50 supplies and much more! Additionally the shop features a mission section; purchases made in this section of the store return 100% of the sale price to the indigenous people that made them (countries include Afghanistan, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Uganda and more)  Shepherd’s Cross features farm fresh, Animal Welfare Approved, pasture raised, free range, chemical free American sheep meat (lamb & mutton) and Dexter beef.  Yarn, yarn, & more yarn – natural, many types, produced and processed on the farm. Shepherd’s Cross also offers roving, batts, felting supplies, knitting needles, spinning and weaving supplies and much more. St. Paddy's Day Party in Claremore!

March 16, 2018 | 6 - 10 p.m.

Wear your green and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in downtown Claremore. Held in the parking lot of the Main Street Tavern, this annual celebration of Celtic traditions includes local live music, dancing and great food at this annual outdoor party. The festivities kick off with a parade through downtown followed by free admission to this beloved local celebration.

Classics V - Mahler's Symphony No. 4

March 24, 2018 | 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

On this final Classics Series concert of the 2017-2018 season, Daniel Hege will lead the Tulsa Symphony in John Adams’ Chairman Dances and Edward Elgar’s In the South (Alassio). TSO is delighted to welcome back the lovely Sarah Coburn, as the featured soprano soloist for Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.
