Utica Square 2017 Summer’s Fifth Night Concert Schedule

June 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29, 2017 | 7 - 9 p.m.

The 26th Annual Summer’s Fifth Night summer concert series is here! The concert series began on Thursday, May 25 with music from Swunky Face Big Band featuring Branjae. Every Thursday evening in the summer from 7 – 9 p.m., Utica Square features live music for the entire family with everything from rock to jazz to country. Pack a picnic or dine at one of our great restaurants. Parking and entry is free. A large number of chairs are provided, or you can bring your own seating. And don’t forget to enter to win prizes like Utica Square gift certificates and giveaways from our merchants.

Blue Bell Taste of Summer

Blue Bell Taste of Summer, presented by AT&T, returns to Broken Arrow on Saturday, June 10th. The festival will feature summertime fun for the entire family and, most importantly, FREE All-You-Can-Eat Blue Bell Ice Cream. The festival takes place from 10a to 3p at the Central Park (1500 S Main Street) in Broken Arrow. Taste of Summer is a family friendly event where attendees can enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream from Blue Bell Creameries. 2017 Free Starlight Concert Season

June 13, 20, & 27, 2017 | 8 p.m.

Starlight concerts are a Tulsa tradition and this year is our band’s 71st year to play music under the stars! The Starlight band is Oklahoma’s only professional concert band and includes over 50 musicians. Conducting the band, is L. Dale Barnett, Starlight’s artistic director. The Jazz Orchestra is led by Starlight’s jazz director, Rich Fisher. Starlight’s concert series offers a variety of music, including patriotic, Broadway tunes, pops, big band music and jazz. There is truly “something for everyone”. NEATs (Northeast Active Timers) June 14 Annual Book Review Fundraiser

June 14, 2017 | 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Mary Helen Stanley's annual book review will be held at Yale Avenue Christian Church, 3616 South Yale. The book is "The Garner Files: A Memoir" by James Garner and author, Jon Winokur. Some of the films he starred in were: Maverick, The Rockford Files, The Great Escape, The Americanization of Emily, Grand Prix, Victor, Victoria, Space Cowboys and The Notebook. RSVP tickets are $15 individual or table for 8 for $100. QuikTrip providing sandwich and a cookie. NEATs will provide chips and drink. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Tuesdays in the Park: Starr Fisher Ensemble

June 20, 2017 | 7 - 9 p.m.

Each Tuesday evening in June a musical performance is presented on an outdoor stage in Broken Arrow’s Central Park. The grassy slope of the park provides an excellent amphitheater for the crowds relaxing and listening...and often dancing. Tuesdays in the Park is free to attend and appropriate for families. Music lovers have been encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs along with their picnics. This year’s food vendors include Broken Arrow Civitans famous hamburgers, Stu-B- Que and Kona Ice. Music is selected for variety of style and presentation talent. Local musical groups are eager to play one of the Tuesday evening concerts. This is the kind of event that draws people from all over, and showcases Broken Arrow in a very upbeat way.

2017 Bixby Freedom Celebration

The Bixby Freedom Celebration is the largest free, public fireworks extravaganza in this area. In it’s second year the 2016 Bixby Freedom Celebration brought approximately 13,000 people from our local community together in patriotic celebration, with thousands more gathered nearby to watch the spectacular, professional fireworks display. On Friday, June 30, 2017, The Bridge Church and its sponsors will once again host Bixby’s very own Independence Day fireworks celebration. So bring your family and friends and let’s celebrate our freedom together!
